This automatic heat press is pretty easy to use. There is no assembly needed to start using it, just plug it in and turn it on.It comes with 2 additional size attachments and can take almost any size of hat. There is a stretch handle that stretches the hat from the back so that it is easy to align the artwork on the hat.The touch controls allow you to set up the temperature and timer. The controls are not very intuitive, e.g., to turn on, you have to press the start button for 2 seconds, and to change the temperature, you need to press the temp button for 3 seconds, but once you read the instructional manual, you will get accustomed to it.The heating pad on the press side is slightly small, it is enough for any size of print you could use, but smaller to cover the whole hat.A word of advice: use a Teflon sheet or spare cloth over your prints to avoid press marks on the hat.Overall it is a fairly easy device to work with.

The heat press works really well and was surprisingly easy to use. I was afraid that there was going to be a big learning curve. But it comes with a hat that you can test out on if you are nervous at first like I was. There aren't tons of settings and buttons to figure out which I also like. I was able to get the look I wanted with ease. It's also not huge. I was able to easily find a place to store it in my craft room without having to move things around. This is something that I am going to have lots of fun with.

It has automatic press release and a knob style LCD for easy temp control. The plates are teflon coated and high temp resistant that distribute heat evenly. It also has a 30 minute auto shutoff for safety. Overall this is a great value for anyone looking to customize hats.
