With this said, the tea was still pretty good and the quality was not diminished due to the bags being in a basic, flimsy box container.Flavor: this tea has the perfect amount of hibiscus flavor. A light steeping produced a not too strong yet perfectly flavored drink.Mixability: As a big lover of passion fruit ice tea, I wanted to save money while making my own version. Mixing this tea with a complimentary type that has fruit flavors, did not detract from this hibiscus tea quality.Value: At the current price I think that this tea could have been sold, in a container that is a bit better than what the current packaging is. More like a big box brand tea packaging would have been nice,so the tea bags would not be exposed if the package was damaged. The tea quality is excellent, and you only need a light steeping in hot water for a short period of time,to get a good cup of hibiscus tea. If the quality of the packaging was better, then I could rate the tea five stars.
3.0 out of 5 stars Needs better packaging
The tea is ground so finely that the dust escapes the packaging, staining the inside of the plastic red. The blotchy spots make it look like there is liquid spilled, which is quite unappetizing. The tea itself is decent, though it benefits from a bit of honey to improve the flavor. I believe it would be much better if it were not ground so finely. Using more intact leaves would enhance both the presentation and the taste.
5.0 out of 5 stars Rich flavor, easy to brew
I was pleased to see that this product was made in Turkey. I know they spell it differently now, but I don't feel like changing my keyboard font. Be that what it may, the foot products I tried in Turkey several years ago, were superb. This product is no different. The hibiscus has a rich and fresh flavor to it; of which, I will enjoy immensely. Also, the tea bag is easy to brew; if you know how to make tea, this tea is no different. You can use a lower temperature, than real tea, but the same process applies.
2.0 out of 5 stars Poor Package Sealing. Good Flavor and Smell
Very poor packaging. Hibiscus powder all over the inside of the Bolo packaging and the product packaging itself. Strong hibiscus smell and great flavor though.
4.0 out of 5 stars Tangy and refeshing; messy teabags
I recently tried hibiscus flowers and was hooked. I can’t believe so much flavor can come from a flower and be calorie free. If you like tangy and sour, you’ll love this. These tea bags make it easier to prepare hibiscus tea. The tea here seems to be finely blended and delivers strong, bold flavor and color. I used two tea bags in a French press and plan to refrigerate the rest to have as an iced tea. The flavor is so bold, that you can mix it with water, just to provide a healthy, calorie and sugar free flavoring to water. I’m also thinking of making ice pops with the tea. There is one issue I have with these tea bags though - they’re a mess. The tea bags leak powder everywhere and got on my counter and hands. It’s quite messy. I stuck the whole box in a clear produce bag so it won’t make a mess and need to be careful when taking out the tea bags. They could have done a better job with that.
4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting taste, worth trying this flower Herbal Tea.
Fixed a nice hot cup of this MIXYWAY Hibiscus Tea late this morning. It wasn't bad. Not really that familiar with some of the unusual ingredients that are used to make different Herbal Teas, but decided to give this Hibiscus flower one a try instead of the regular leaf Tea that most recognize. This being an Herbal, there's no caffeine - so, hot or iced, it's perfect for afternoon or evening consumption if sleeping well is important. Upon brewing, this has a dark red color (your basic Hibiscus flower color), and a different taste. I steeped my cup of about 8 - 9 oz. for about 3 - 4 minutes. Decided I needed a bit of sugar to cut the plant taste of the flowers. For me, that helped, and I actually enjoyed this somewhat strange taste. This has a few good healthful attributes, so worth trying. The 3.5 oz. pkg. of 15 square tea bags came sealed well with clear wrap, which was good. Reason for 4 Stars: The Tea is finely ground, with some filtering out of the bags into the cardboard pkg., so be aware, careful when opening - a bit messy. Ended up putting the bags in a glass jar because of the very fine flower dust. Not really a big deal, but not a perfect 5.
3.0 out of 5 stars Not well packaged
This comes in a box, not sealed and the tea bags have a hibiscus powder so fine that they spill all over the box and wherever you open the box. The tea is strong and not bitter but it leaves residue on the cup which I personally do no like because I have to make sure not to drink the all of tea. Overall it has good flavor but it needs better packaging and a bit more whole leaves
5.0 out of 5 stars Good herbal tea!
Teabags are huge, but makes sense for a teapot-sized bag. Taste is good. Better than some other hibiscus tea I have. Easy to use. Kinda wish it came with more than 15 bags, but price isn't bad. Somehow this makes me feel even more thirsty though, not sure why. But I enjoy it alongside a second beverage and I'm all good.
