I am an experienced with sewing. I’m not a professional, but I do know how to sew. My large machine broke down so I wanted to get something smaller since I’m getting older and the old ones are just so heavy that I wanted something light as I only do minor sewing nowadays. I got this machine and I like the fact that it was so lightweight, but once I got into it, unless you are experienced with sewing, this is NOT a beginners model. First, I had problems with replacing the bobber on the bottom. It was difficult to get out, and once you got it back in, it was hard to get the thread through it, the directions are not good at explaining what to do. Second, the small spool that they have on the side of the machine, they did not give you any instructions on how to change out that spool. Through trial and error, my husband figured out that you just have to pull it out, which is rather difficult. Again, not explained in the instructions. Third, when you start threading the thread through the machine, it keeps getting caught. There is a tension button on the side of the machine, and I loosened that all the way up, but it still catches. I think the issue with that is the spool on the side of the machine, the spool is held in place (tension) with a spring and I think the spring is too big and it won’t release the string. I was taking in a pair of dress pants so it wasn’t heavy material, but yet, the needle was having a difficult time making it through and the thread kept snapping off. At one point it got completely stuck and I had a complete ball of thread under the material and I had to cut out.I will be returning the machine. I love the size and how light it is, but the instruction stink and it’s not practical for any material.

Said it comes with a bag. It doesn't. It's cheaply made, but it's cheap. The tray doesn't fit quite right. Winding bobbins by manually holding tension and moving the string back and forth is dumb. However, it works. It doesn't have backstitch or variable speed. You go forward at a trot. I've definitely sewn faster and slower. But, it's functional. The stitches hold, as long as you tie them off. And it's got thread above and below, so it's not doing the stitch from the dog food bag. And although I really wanted it to be purple, it wasn't worth paying an extra $20 for.

Thread is hard to get into needle and does not sew at all! Do not buy or you will be frustrated. Cheap materials.

For the price this was exactly what I needed for simple sewing projects. I was quite the seamstress in my younger days but haven’t had a sewing machine for way too long. This little machine has given me back the ability to make simple repairs and Alterations. Love it

This is wonderful. I needed a machine simply for hemming my kids pants. It has been a lifesaver! It has worked well for leggings, sweats, and even jeans! Easy to use and there’s lots of videos to help on YouTube.

This sewing machine is super cute and convenient. I am beginner at sewing and wanted to learn. This is the perfect starter. Its inexpensive and easy to work with. The size also makes it portable and easy to put away so that is a major plus. When i am not using it I can easily put it back in the box.

I was happily surprised how this small sewing machine efficiently works. I did use to hem my husbands trousers and was very quick and easy to use It's very helpful for those like me don't have the space for a bulky sewing Maschine for doing this small jobs. I'm very happy with the purchase.
