I recently grabbed the Ackbun 50Pcs Assorted Tattoo Needles (#12 gauge) for my rotary tattoo pen, and it’s been a reliable addition to my beginner kit. The mix of sizes—5 each of 5RL, 7RL, 9RL, 11RL (round liners), 5RS, 7RS, 9RS (round shaders), 7RM, 9RM (round magnums), and 9M1 (magnum)—gives me tons of options for different techniques, from fine lines to shading and packing on practice skin. They’re individually sterilized and disposable, which is great for safety, and the #12 gauge provides consistent ink flow without excessive trauma. The cartridges fit my pen perfectly, and the membrane helps prevent backflow, keeping things clean during sessions.These needles stay sharp through multiple passes and deliver smooth results, making them ideal for both beginners and pros on a budget. At around $0.34 per needle, it’s excellent value for a pro-grade set that’s easy to store and use.My only minor gripe, and why it’s 4 stars instead of 5, is that the plastic grips feel a bit too smooth— they can slip slightly when my hands are oily from ink. A subtle texture would make them even more ergonomic. Overall, this Ackbun set has boosted my practice sessions, and I’d recommend it to anyone needing a well-rounded assortment of tattoo cartridges!

These 1207RM curved magnum cartridges are solid quality and work great for shading and blending. Each one came individually sealed and sterile, which gives peace of mind before opening. The flow is consistent, no clogging or uneven ink distribution, and the needles stay sharp through longer sessions without breaking down.The fit is tight and secure in my cartridge machine, no wobble or leaks. The membrane design helps with backflow prevention, keeping things clean and safe. I’ve gone through several of them already, and they’ve all been consistent in performance — no duds in the box so far.⭐ Bottom line: Durable, sterile, and smooth-running cartridges that deliver reliable results every time. Definitely a good choice for professional or apprentice tattoo artists.

I needed needles overnight, so I took a gamble on this generic brand. I was happily surprised at the quality.The needles are solid feeling, the acrylic is thicker than other generics. The needle clicked in and stayed solid. There was no wobble in use and the needle was very responsive to adjustments and to use. The shading went very smoothly with all 3 needles I used.The amber coloring is very cool looking, and the clear part does indeed make it easy to assess ink volume. The package design is cool too! The package was sealed, and each needle is individually sealed with a 5 year shelf life.At about 65 cents a needle, these box seems to be a very good value. However, I want to temper my enthusiasm because to really assess quality with needles, one should see what percent (if any) are duds. Therefore, I will have to commit to revising this review should I find any duds in this box.

Decent cartridges , a lot of them as well for the price, however they are a mixed bag for me , the shaders worked well but I did run into ink pouring out of the needles which in turn a lot of the time id be halfway through a line and would be out of ink which is detrimental to a good clean line , I wouldnt recommend these for anything but practice on fake skin because as stated before , the ink just comes out of the liner with a 4.2 mm stroke which what I've always used for linework . So overall decent for practice

These cartridges are great for learning and testing out different styles. The mixed lot gives a nice spread of sizes so it's been easy to experiment with different line weights and figure out what works best for certain designs. I’ve been using them mostly for practice skin, but the ink flow has been really consistent and the cartridges feel sturdy in hand. They snap into my pen with no issues and hold up well during longer sessions.What I like most is how smooth the lines come out, even with the finer needles. They’ve been comfortable to work with and I haven’t had any issues with clogging or weird backflow. Definitely beginner-friendly but still feel professional enough that you’re not wasting time or supplies. For a mixed batch, this is a solid option if you're still finding your groove or just want to have a wide range on hand.
