The boots feel great. They are sturdy and comfortable. They have air flow ventilation so they don't get too hot. That does mean that they are not waterproof, if that's what you are looking for. They aren't steel-toe, but they do hold up well when you accidentally slam your foot into something. My husband wears between an 11.5 and 12. In this boot, an 11.5 was not offered so, we got the 12. It is slightly too big, but we are going to try putting an insert inside of it to see if that helps. If the boots were an 11.5 and still just as comfortable, the rating would be a 5, but for now, I am leaving it at 4 stars since we don't know. I think they are a good value.

I'm going to preface this by saying I wore boots for a living for almost two decades. I served warrants and searched houses as law enforcement officer, and in that job you go through a pair of boots every six months. Sometimes less, depending on just how bad the neighborhood is.I say this so that you know that I've worn a lot of boots. A lot, in capital letters. What you want is a flexible and thick sole, so that you can run and have traction, but not have something jammed through into your foot. You want a sturdy ankle that fits tightly, loose around the toes and the top of the foot, and a zip-up side is nice, but you're going to have to have it covered with some sort of flat inside and out. Whether you hike, do wilderness stuff, or work in the projects, at some point you will wind up ankle deep in something you don't want in your boots.These boots get five stars. They have flaps on both sides of the zipper, which will keep them from leaking even if you're walking in water. The soul is thick, of a cushiony rubber that's soft enough to make me think that it'll last even with running. And yes, I did run a mile in them first, the traction's good. The material's probably not leather, but honestly, with modern boots, you don't want that anyway. You want something that will survive being sprayed with a harsh chemical cleaner and put on a radiator to dry. So altogether, more than worth the money you'll spend on them, and depending on your job, they'll last longer than you expect.

I have a few pairs of Nortiv 8 boots of varying styles and these folks never let me down. I wear a size 10.5 and these boots fit my feet perfectly. I was amazed at how lightweight they are, even after reading the product description and seeing lightweight in my mind I thought these would be heavier.These boots are ready to go out of the box, with no breaking in needed. The materials are soft and pliable and feel very comfortable around the foot. The zipper runs almost the full length of the boot and stops about 2 inches below the ankle making them very easy to put on and take off once you have the laces set how you like them. The Velcro flap at the top of the zip has no bearing on securing the boot, but stops the zipper tag flapping around sliding down.The other thing I like about these boots is that they don't pinch on the top of the foot where it meets the leg. There is a space between the laces to allow your foot to flex.The reinforced toe is solid and offers protection for everyday use and the rugged rubber sole offers great traction on many surfaces.The one thing I would change about this boot, and this is far from being a deal breaker, is that the laces are excessively long.Overall this is a great boot whether you are looking for a workboot, outdoor boot, tacticool/fashion boot.

Boy or boy if you want some heavy-duty boots then these are it! even though they are very heavy and quite stiff in the beginning they will loosen up over time and provide a comfortable feeling for your heels and arch even if you have arch problems like I do in my foot. they look pretty sporty too and the style is even better even if they run a little bit bigger than normal as far as the size goes. overall, I highly recommend these shoes or boots if in the market for something like this.

These were for my son. I have a pair that are very similar, but I think these are actually nicer - they're certainly higher on the ankle and more light weight than mine are, but they're the same brand. He will use his when he plays airsoft - the field we go to is pretty rugged - lots of different terrain, old cars, broken glass, rocks, woods, etc., so he wanted something that had a nice thick sole, but that was also lightweight and comfortable - some games are played on 90 acres and last all day, so that's a lot of miles to put on a pair of boots! He likes the zip in/out feature, especially for taking them off, but he can also unzip them between games and cool off a bit too. These do however, run a bit large - this brand does overall. I have a size 11 and probably could fit in a 10.5. He's a size 10 an has some room to grow - he's a teenager, so that seems to be all he does. Ordered the tan/coyote color, which is a really nice color - it's a 2-tone with the darker features limited and the lighter tan being the suede material (not real suede). These should hold up for a while.
