Nice units, yet cannot login using the Windows Hello with the camera. Also, on my previous Dell Inspiron, I could press "Fn Insert" to put the laptop to sleep. The new unit does not support this function.

So I went back and forth between a LOT of models trying to decide which to go with within my budget. I finally picked this one. I picked this particular seller because they were really responsive and informative when I asked them repeated questions about it lol.What I was looking for was a laptop that had a touchscreen that had stylus support with palm rejection for drawing, lots of RAM for dealing with Adobe programs without lagging a ton, and a good enough GPU to handle advanced graphics processing required for some of the Adobe applications.I was also looking for something fairly portable for a college campus, which this is. It's not feather light, but it's very comfortably light, and the size is extremely manageable. Admittedly, I miss having the number pad that's on a full-sized keyboard and the enormous work-sized screen I'm used to, but I can live without them. It only has two USB ports, so I got a USB extended for it.Admittedly, I haven't tried it out on Premiere Pro yet, but all of the Adobe applications I tried to download so far have allowed me to without giving any sort of incompatibility notice. Photoshop works well and quickly. In general it seems to be pretty fast, no lagging (I got the 64GB).I also tried out the stylus (the Dell Premier Rechargeable Active Pen PN7522W, not the capacitative stylus that comes with this). It pairs with the laptop through Bluetooth, using Windows Pen & Ink. It wasn't perfect, but it was workable. There are two main problems with the stylus. One, if you tilt the pen while drawing, sometimes the screen reads the tip further up than what you're trying to draw because the active tip is probably almost a centimeter from tip to top. I haven't tested out this problem thoroughly, it's possible that some programs handle it better than others (it seems like maybe Photoshop didn't do that as badly, but I can't say for sure).The second problem is with palm rejection. If you set the touchscreen to reject your palm, it only rejects it while the stylus is making contact. If you lift the stylus for a second while you're resting the side of your hand against the screen, sometimes the screen wants to register the side of your hand as touching. The best solution I've found for this so far is to wear an artist's palm rejection glove. They're pretty cheap. When I use a glove, the stylus actually becomes pretty fun to use.As for other problems, I've found the battery life is not NEARLY what the specs say they are. When I take it off the charger, it pretty consistently shows 4 hours (give or take a few minutes) of battery life left. That might be because of all the extra RAM installed on it, not sure. It also gets hot very quickly (like pretty much if you use it for even a few minutes at all), although I've never had it overheat or start to throttle. I try to make sure to keep its air circulation clear, but I haven't been perfect by any means. Still, it hasn't become a real problem. We'll see how it handles life around a college campus.Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. Definitely happy for the price point. It's fast, it's powerful, it's portable, and I can draw on it. I also super appreciate how responsive the seller was before I even bought it. If you're looking for the same things I am for under $1,000, I'd certainly recommend considering this model right here.
