Dr Carefree numbing cream DOES work. I put the whole tube on my arm and wrapped it in cling wrap for 2 hours before my tattoo. My tattooing session was 4 hours long and my arm was still numb afterwards. The cling wrap rubbed off the cream in a few spots from moving around and I felt it a bit there so wrap carefully! I already bought 2 more tubes. If I need more than two more sessions, I'll buy more. In my opinion, it worked better than the brand tattoo numbing creme and I used that several times. This is 1/2 the price and works better. So,1. Right before putting the cream on, wash the area that will be tattooed and EXFOLIATE! I used a rough sponge and apricot scrub this time.2. Apply cream generously 2 hours before the tattoo. I used the whole tube from shoulder to 1/2 down forearm on the outer part of my arm.3. Wrap the area carefully in cling wrap and don't move around a lot while it's wrapped.4. Enjoy a pain free tattoo session!Edited: just a warning, if you use this, wash it off with soap after the tattoo. It gave me a slight, but very itchy, rash where it was left on my skin post tattoo session. I removed 1 star for this.
