5.0 out of 5 stars Helps narrow heels

Whenever I see a new style of heel pad I jump on it, because I wear dress shoes daily in my professional workplace setting. I've tried heel pads that are silky cushioned fabric, ones that are kind of a soft foam, ones that are straight gel cushions, and ones that are kind of a suede-ish material. These Bukihome heel grip pads are the padded gel kind, but attached to a suede-like backing. They are approximately 3.5" wide and about 1.5" from top to bottom. In my attached pictures, the Bukihome pad is the tan-colored one, shown with a different brand gray heel pad for comparison.Positives:Initially I questioned the smaller size of these, as compared to the larger foam grip inserts that I also included in my product photos. But once I had these heel pads in my shoe, I realized that less = more. These actually work better for me because they don't extend to the sides of my foot. Grips that extend to the sides of my foot don't actually fit into my shoes well, and often start peeling up on the sides for some reason. Also, the adhesive on the back of the heel grip is really strong. It should stay stuck to your shoe with no issues. I've also been trying to peel the silicone part away from the suede-like backing, just for science, to see if it would fall apart easily. But no, the silicone part is staying attached to the soft backing fairly well. With some effort I can pull them apart, but this is not what the normal movements of a foot and shoe would do, so this seems sturdy. I've been compressing the silicone part too, to see if it loses shape, and it just bounces right back into its original form.Drawbacks:This product is a little taller than what I've been using, so if you have a shoe with a fairly short back, and these stick up above the top of your shoe, you might have to trim the bottom a little. The silicone part is kind of tacky/sticky--every cat hair in my area is easily stuck to it. I can envision these looking grimy fast.Last thoughts:These worked well for me in my dress shoes, and kept my heels from slipping out of the shoes. I did have to be careful of where I was placing it. The silicone part is only at the top, so I needed to be sure I was placing it where needed to restrain movement, versus being too high up and not actually impacting movement. If my foot was sweaty at all (gross, but summers here are hot and humid) I don't know how these would fare in terms of keeping my foot from slipping. But for all other times, these seem a viable option at a decent price, compared to what heel grip pairs individually cost at my local store.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fixed shoes that were 1/4 to 1/2 size too big.
These are a very good size and are very cushiony and grippy. I haven’t worn heels in so many years because I feel like my feet have changed or I’ve become more picky about the way shoes fit, and so many shoes slide off the back of my heel. I think my heel must be narrower than standard. I got some pumps and I want to start wearing prettier shoes again, but I have to try on so many pairs to see if anything will fit my heel. Now I have more choice since I can use a heel grip. I didn't know! These grips worked great. First of all they are a generous size so there’s a lot of surface area for your heel to grip. The silicone grip part is cushiony and protrudes. The rest of the pad is sueded or moleskin like so makes the shoe feel comfortable. I wasn’t sure from the instructions how to install these. The photo is too small to make out for me. I would test on your foot before taking off the sticker. Ultimately, I landed at putting the silicone bump edge as high up as possible on the edge of the shoe without showing. this felt the best and seemed to work at keeping my foot in the shoe the most. The adhesive is very very sticky so I did have to peel it off and it was holding very strongly so be careful as you apply it. It’s not the kind of adhesive that’s going to allow you to reposition it too many times or even remove it. This looks like once it’s stuck it’s going to live there. I had a pair of shoes that were about a quarter to half size too large and with this heel cushion, they fit perfectly. There is a tiny bit of a gap at the back that’s more visible, making the shoe look big on my foot, because of the displacement due to the cushion. I’m not sure if there’s anything that can be done about that if you’re in between shoe sizes. You can’t go smaller. This seems like a very affordable solution. My box came with six pairs, which is more than enough.
5.0 out of 5 stars Make unwearable shoes suddenly perfect against rubbing and way better than plain moleskin.
What a difference these heel pads make! I am the kind of person who buys several of whatever shoes I find that fit my feet. I have a very wide foot and a bunion on one foot that makes finding a decent fit difficult. I have pretty much worn through what I have and mostly in the summer I wear croc-type shoes without a heel because I'm outside gardening daily. I recently found some shoes that seemed like a good fit in the store BUT when I got them home and actually was going to wear them I found out that the part that goes around the heel was going to rub me raw. I literally took the shoes off as not much is worth a raw spot on the back of my foot. I got a pack of these inserts and man, have they ever made them comfortable. Problem solved! Seriously. The ONLY thing I would suggest as a design improvement is that they have a little tab on the paper backing on each pad to make it easier to peel the backing off. But that is just me making a suggestion because it is a really nice product the way it is. There are six pairs of these heel grips in a package and each of the six sets comes in its own small zip-top plastic bag, which is another nice touch. These are winners and I'm going to give each of my daughters a set of these. They turn unwearable shoes very comfortable and they are better than just plain moleskin. You'll see if you try them.
