I haven’t actually received my retainers yet because I’m still finishing up my final Invisalign tray—but I wanted to leave a quick note since I already have the kit!First off, make sure you know this is a kit, not pre-made retainers. I almost missed that at first glance, so double-check the description. That said, the kit comes with everything you need, and the instructions are clear. It feels very professional, and I love that they offer support if you need help with the process. 🙌The color options are super cute (I picked pink 💖), and the materials all feel high-quality and durable. I’m excited to do my impressions and send them in once I’m done with my trays!So far, the experience has been smooth, and I’m really looking forward to seeing the final product. Will update once I actually get my retainers!

I ordered this kit to create a Hawley retainer. I’ve used home-based kits before, and this one comes with three size options for accommodating your mouth. You also receive ten packets of yellow-orange powder, a mixing bowl, a small measuring cup with markings, and a spatula for both the mixing and the trowel process. You should have a smart phone with timer on hand, and several paper napkins. Before you begin, put some water in the fridge or freezer to cool it down (you’ll use it for mixing and it should be cold) then choose which set of trays (labeled S/M/L) best fits your mouth. I used the medium trays.Here's why this product only receives four stars from me so far: the booklet says to use 40ml of water with each packet, and I went through three packets without success before I finally decided to try only 30ml of water; using more water caused the paste to become very liquid and run out through the holes in the tray and into my mouth as the photo shows. It also led to poor molds of my teeth (again, photo). This was the most difficult part, and they only offer a video as additional help. You are to mix the paste and then put it on your teeth within 2 minutes 30 seconds, and I found that to be plenty of time with my thicker 30ml water paste mix. I’m glad they sent me ten packets - it took five tries to get both trays correct, but only after reducing the amount of water they call for. Note this is a bright orange goo - I’m concerned I may have stained a new towel with it, but I’m hoping it washes out.You have to leave the trays in for a while. The instructions say 4 minutes, but with 40ml I found it was closer to 8 minutes before the paste hardened. With 30ml I waited almost 6 minutes, and that worked nicely. The final tray photo shows my successful attempt with less water. There is no pain involved but you do have to gently wiggle the trays around a bit until they are loose enough to remove.Once you’ve finished both trays, you’ll send them photos of your work for final approval, then fill out a form and send it back to the company. I’m really intrigued with all the choices they offer - I am using this for Hawley style retainers, but you can order clear retainers, veneers, mouth guards for sports or snoring, and even a fake tooth. I’ll update this when I get the Hawley retainer back in the mail. If this works out well, it will be a very good value for the money!

This is the second custom retained kit I have ordered from Bolo, and again, I am so impressed! The kit comes with everything you need, and then some! The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the overall functionality of the kit is excellent, making the process smooth from start to finish. Once you make your impressions, you send a picture through what’s app for the company to ok them, and they provide you with a shipping label to send them in.The process takes about two weeks from the time you get the kit, make your impressions, mail them in, and get the retainers mailed back to you. The process is easy and pain free, and you end up with high quality retainers that fit perfectly, at much less than the cost you’d pay at the orthodontist.This kit exceeded my expectations in both quality and value. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs new retainers.

This appears to be a very cost-effective way to receive a retainer, especially when orthodontist offices often charge exorbitant prices. The kit comes with clear instructions, multiple molding materials, and several tray sizes to ensure a good fit. Making the impressions was simple and straightforward, even for a first-timer. I haven’t sent the molds in yet, but the process so far has been smooth. This is a great option for anyone looking to save money without sacrificing quality.

I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect with this kit. I just wanted to get a back up retainer since the top one I have is simply the last tray from Invisalign braces that I did over a decade ago. Any day now it’s going to break or simply get left behind in a hotel bathroom. Unfortunately, my teeth to tend to move still, so I wear the retainers several nights a week to preserve my aligned teeth which cost thousands.This kit is legit, with everything I need to get some retainers made. It looks professional and thorough, well-packed and with clear instructions, including photos. You mix the powder into a paste, spread it onto the trays that fit your mouth, and make the impressions properly. Then, you contact the company with photos of your impressions to confirm it was done right, and mail them along with the completed order form with their free shipping label.Maybe eventually, they will be so good with online dental kits that we can get Invisalign directly, without need for an expensive dentist and middleman mark-ups. Nowadays the better dentists use digital imaging rather than cement for impressions. I don’t think we’re there yet, but for now I’m happy to have an option like this for retainers and additional items like nightguards, veneers, and even dentures. The powder packets for making impressions expire 4/19/2028.
