I've been searching for a reliable mount that works both on the go and at home, and this one really delivers—Other than the plastic parts.Sturdy Construction & Secure GripThe main clamp is impressively heavy-duty, with all metal parts except for the phone holder and the round tightening disc. The clamp grips tightly and feels built to last. The two metal ball elbows feature etched, swirling lines that lock securely in place when tightened—unlike other mounts with smooth elbows that often slip under pressure. The clamping feet are padded and textured, providing a strong grip, and the phone holder itself is padded to protect your device.Outstanding UsabilityThis mount excels in functionality. Whether I'm using it inside my vehicle or setting it up at home, it's incredibly versatile. Tightening and loosening the clamp is smooth and hassle-free, with no snagging or sticking. The tightening handles are securely locked and stamped into place, so they won't come apart even at the widest extension. Plus, you can rotate the entire mechanism to tighten your device without having to spin the device itself—a major bonus when working in tight spaces.Weak Link: The Phone HolderUnfortunately, the phone holder doesn’t match the high quality of the rest of the mount. It’s made from cheap plastic, feels flimsy, and the internal springs are noisy and feel overly stressed when opening. I wouldn’t count on it lasting with regular use. The plastic tightening disc for the phone mount is similarly underwhelming.I ended up swapping it out for a full-metal phone holder I already owned, and the difference is night and day. With the upgraded phone mount, this setup becomes a beast—strong, reliable, and rock solid.Other FeaturesThe phone holder includes a slot for attaching a slide-on light, which is a nice touch for creators.All parts appear to be welded or stamped together, so don’t expect to take pieces off to use on other setups.The grip pads on the clamp feet are well-installed, sitting flush and secure. However, the grip padding on the phone mount feels cheaply glued.Bottom LineThis mount is absolutely worth the price for its sturdiness and versatility. Just plan on replacing the included phone holder with a higher-quality option to really make the most of it.

This super clamp from CAMBOFOTO is just what I needed to secure lighting fixtures to table ledges, doors and other overhangs. One of the main features that distinguishes this model from other designs are the articulating cushioned pads at the tips of the clamp jaws. They make all the difference between a good clamp and a great clamp. The pads rest flat when clamped to an overhang, giving the clamp a sturdy grip. Designs that lack these pads can grip poles just fine, but they don’t do so well with overhangs. That’s because the jaws terminate with a V-shaped tip, and there’s just not enough surface contact to stabilize the clamp. I know, because I have one of those “other” clamps. And they just don’t work as good as versions that have the flat articulating cushioned pads.Another important design element of the CAMBOFOTO super clamp is the “magic arm”. Any accessory that has a standard 1/4”-20 female screw mount can be connected to the end of the magic arm, and then adjusted to just able any position. Thanks to the fully adjustable ball head joints, one at each end of the magic arm. Once the ideal position is achieved, the ball joints can be fixed into position with a large metal knob lock. It’s a robust system, with limitless adjustment options.👍 RECOMMENDATION 👍Overall, the CAMBOFOTO super clamp is a "must have" gadget for any hobby or profession. I’ll be using it with work lights, photography lighting, and even as a mount for full-spectrum plant grow lights. It's really a remarkable super clamp, and this particular brand did it right. With quality components and a fabrication spec that's spot on. I know I'll be using it on a near daily basis. If you looking for a mounting solution that's been keeping you from doing your best work, I encourage you to take a close look at the Super Clamp from CAMBOFOTO.
