I have forgotten my glucose meter several times when packing for trips (my meter is in the kitchen, while I pack in the bedroom), so I decided to get a second meter to keep in my travel kit. I already use a larger Bioland meter for every day, so I wanted to stay with the brand so I can use the same strips for either meter.This meter is a nice size, perfect for travel. The kit comes with 100 test strips, 100 lancets, and a lancing device. The kit includes 2 AAA batteries for the meter, and I appreciate the fact that it uses standard batteries instead of the smaller, and harder to find, coin batteries.One amazing bonus of this meter is that Bioland has the most comfortable lancing devices I have ever used. They are adjustable, and seem to be spring-loaded so they almost bounce off my finger--breaking the skin but in a really painless way. Other lancing devices I have used seem to slam into your finger while these just get the job done without a lot of pain.It is difficult to get too excited about a glucose meter, but if you need one it is nice to have one that is simple and gets the job done. This meter is exactly that. The measurement is quick, and very closely matches the results from my other meter so I am confident in its accuracy. I am very happy with this purchase!

The kit also includes plenty of test strips (100) and lancets (100), so there’s no need to immediately buy extra supplies.One feature I especially appreciate is how fast it delivers results. Within seconds, you get a clear, easy-to-read number on the screen, which makes daily testing far less of a hassle.I did a bit of digging to see whether the test strips are universal or specific to this brand. It turns out these strips are designed specifically for Stondon meters, so it’s worth keeping that in mind when ordering refills but fortunately, the kit provides a generous supply to start with.Overall, this is a reliable, simple-to-use glucose monitor that’s perfect for home use. The operation is straightforward, the display is bright and easy to read, and having a full starter pack with batteries and ample supplies makes it a great value.
