This is exactly what I was looking for another option for my action camera. I am planning to clip it to either a crossbody bag or backpack for hands free recording on vacation.

This mount is great because of the clip because it's so versatile and can be moved easily from one pack to another. It's great for hiking and for time warp pics. The way the mount connects to your pack depends a lot on the pack you are using it with. A pack with more straps will be easier and more versatile in terms of choosing the best place to put the mount. I've used it on a couple of packs and the one I have with straps across my chest was the easiest to find a place to mount the clip. It's sturdy, works well, and is very stable, all for a really great value. I can highly recommend this handy clip mount for all Go Pro users.

I ordered this mount to use with my DJI Action 4, primarily for hiking. I previously used a neck mount, but I find the backpack mount works much better for this purpose.The clip is easy to attach and remove, and it holds the camera securely. At first, I was worried that the camera might fall due to gravity or loose backpack straps. But after a few uses, I realized that how well it holds really depends on the type of backpack you're using.Backpacks with a waist strap help keep everything more stable, and having thicker foam padding in the shoulder straps also helps you won’t feel the clip pressing into your shoulder as much.Overall, it’s a solid, steady solution for hands-free filming while hiking. Highly recommended if you have the right kind of backpack!

It breaks very easily. I didn’t even get to use it on my trip because it fell off my backpack and broke.

This item meets a niche filming need for any action camera enthusiast. Or really any other small and lightweight camera too because of its built-in standard 1/4 by 20 screw mount.(And also such that your chosen camera doesn't weigh too much, so that it might tend to sag or bounce around while walking.)It's perfect for standard action cameras though.It seems to work well once you adjust your framing. A great way to document a hike or any other walking activity. Or even just riding in or on a vehicle or perhaps even on horseback!It provides 3 dimensional pointing ability while you wear it on your "typically" backpack strap. The strap needs to be taunt enough to hold your camera wherever you choose to point it.It also features a nice, strong, built-in magnetic base which allows you to easily use it on any ferrous metal surface.The clip itself is very strong too so it will definitely hold up your action camera or perhaps phone, if you have a suitable phone mount of your own to mount to it (not included).It's a nice lightweight, sturdy, and well-thought out little unit. And it fills its specific need / usage scenario very well.The action camera mounting stalk separates via a button and a twist, which I guess, allows you to more easily adjust framing while leaving the base attached in place. In practice though, I found it rather difficult to remove and reattach it in this way.I think perhaps the best feature is in the actual "clip" itself though, which is really strong as it's required to be. It isn't going to move or fall off.It does what it needs to do!

I had ordered this mount for my inst360 X5 to use while we were in Alaska. I found the design to be very functional, and I was able to clip it on to my backpack quite securely. I could leave the mount attached to a backpack strap and then remove the camera with the twist / lock connection that they have used. It's really handy. The grip onto the backpack strap was something that I was concerned with at first, but I used it top down, so gravity was my friend in keeping it on the strap and I stopped worrying after a couple of uses. This mount itself is quite sturdy and well made, so it also played into my ease of accepting its stability of holding the heavier 360 camera. I did not test out the magnet on this unit, but it was nice to know that it's there. It's also small enough that when I am done with it, I can take and place its small shape into my camera box without issue. I found this to be really versatile and a great find. This GoPro backpack mount is a great buy, with noticeably solid build quality that feels much sturdier than other mounts I’ve used. It doesn’t have the usual quick-change clip, but I actually think that makes it more durable and secure overall. It clips on tightly, stays in place during movement, and provides a steady point of view without needing constant adjustment. For the price, it delivers excellent performance and reliability, making it a dependable choice for action shots on the go. Would buy again.
