I shouldn't have been! It's lightweight, functional, and has a simple design which i love. I was also a little wary ordering because of the average star rating but after receiving it and wondering why people didn't like it, I read through all the reviews and the only negative one I found was saying it's too big for children. This wasn't advertised as a child's helmet so... that's on the purchaser. And I actually have quite a small head for an adult and it easily adjusted down to fit, so that's not an issue at all. It's really comfortable too! And the accessories are just added bonuses! I'm definitely pleased with this purchase!

I bought this riding helmet for daughter because she has outgrown her current one. She loves it!! She said it’s super lightweight, and very comfortable. The fit is easy to adjust with the dial in the back, and she said it feels really secure without being tight. It’s breathable too, which she appreciates in our warm Georgia weather. She said the included gloves are surprisingly grippy, and she can still use her phone with them on. The storage bag is a bonus, definitely helps keep everything together.
