I use it to retrieve our automatic cleaner and to move around the pool cover water pump as needed. Helps me get the pump further out towards the middle of the pool. I recently got this retrieval hook for my robotic pool cleaner, and it attaches perfectly to my standard pool pole and makes pulling the robot out of the water easy. No more leaning over or having to get in the pool just to grab it.The hook itself is well-designed and feels sturdy and not flimsy. The curve is just right to easily catch the handle of the robot without scratching or causing any damage. It makes retrieving the cleaner, even from the deep end, much quicker and safer.Compared to older, more generic hooks I've used, this one is specifically shaped for robot cleaner handles and works much better. It's a simple tool, but it performs exactly as it should.

I recently broke my original retrieval hook and ordered this replacement. It's better than the original. First of all, it feels like it's made of a sturdier plastic and the shape of it seems to work better than the rounded kind at keeping my robot vac on the hook. I have two pool poles, one that came with my Intex cleaning kit and a universal one I bought later. They look the same, but this hook only fits one of them, presumably the universal one. Just something to be aware of if you have an Intex pole.

Broke on the first pull.This joke is made from brittle plastic and broke as soon as I started to pull my pool robot out of the pool. Now to get a refund I need to ship them the broken pieces, what a waste of time and money.
