I know the product had a fault but the customer service alone is enough to make me look at this brand again. Absolutely stellar customer service.This is a nice little robot for my grandson. Not the best construction but he is having fun with it and the programming/stem stuff is a great beginning. The only issue I had so far is that out of the box, one of the missile launcher ports won't accept the missile/dart. It won't click into place so it basically just falls out. The other 4 ports work fine. I can't really return it as my grandson loves it but just be aware and make sure you test all of that before you give it to your kid or grandkid so you can get a working one.The sound quality is ok. Takes a minute to understand what he is saying but he responds to the voice prompts well.

I'm a little past my days for being overly enthused about toy robots, but I have to admit I ended up getting a real kick out of this guy. Relatively easy to operate, and well-designed with no sharp edges or hazards to most kids in the appropriate (6+ years) age range, 5088 legit made me laugh a few times while I was testing him out.The overall color-scheme is subtly meant to make you think of another red and gold character, but this is NOT the same thing, nor does it try to emulate that guy. The left arm is outfitted with three claw-grippers which exert very little pressure so no child will get hurt by the grip. The right arm has slots for five soft-tipped darts (you get, I believe, 8 with the bot) and the distance and pressure of the dart in flight is agreeably safe for little tykes.The pre-recorded vocals are fun and, I swear, I think a couple of times he was responding to what I said, given the timing. This without my having set him up for voice-activation. There are a few cool pre-programmed sequences like Dance, Demo, Fight etc... and the ability to input your own commands.At the end of the day if you are an adult buying this for yourself it's likely you may feel underwhelmed, however if you are a pre-teen kid receiving this as a present it's sure to make you get the biggest, goofiest grins. The robot is not specifically for boys OR girls, and should work with pretty much any child.Quick note: The remote requires two AAA batteries, but the robot itself has an internal rechargeable battery and comes with a charging USB-A to USB-C cable.I think most kids will definitely get a solid kickout of this toy.

I bought this for my sister because she loves robots. But honestly this is fun for the whole family! It dances, talks, moves around on command, grabs things, and even shoots harmless rubber darts. You can also program it to follow series of moves. It is so user friendly anyone that can read and use a remote can operate it. And the charge lasts a long time. It came already fully charged and we have yet to run the battery down in it. Not only that, it is very well built and solid. This will not tip over easily. I see no reason why it would not last for many hours of play. A great gift for people of all ages!

The media could not be loaded. My 7yr old son chose this for his bday gift and after reading the reviews, I went ahead and bought it. So glad I did, my son absolutely loves it.Pleasantly surprised how well it’s made. Highly recommend!

The plastic is a little on the thin side for the price point. The remote does not feel quality at all. A little flimsy. That being said, my daughter loves programing this little guy to do all kinds of stuff. It is more of a beginner robot, but it is still tons of fun for her. Kids from 3rd to 5th grade should have a good time with it. You need to charge the robot with a usb-c to usb-a cable. A usb-c to usb-c cable will not work. Disposable batteries for the remote are not included.
