We play a lot of dominoes in my family. Mostly Texas 42, but also just classic All Fives, when it’s just two players. We have quite a few sets that have been handed down, but wanted one that was portable to leave in the car in case the opportunity for a game arises when traveling. This set fits the bill. First, the tiles are nice and solid, with a satisfying ‘clack’ while shuffling. They are a little bigger than most sets I’m used to (see the picture, which has a quarter for comparison), which is nice, with well-painted pips. They come in a lovely, sturdy carrying case that would be right at home in a heist movie. Unfortunately, the dominoes don’t fit snugly in it and the extra space means they move around a bit, but that’s probably no big deal unless you are running away from villains and the noise gives you away. They also come with two decks of cards, which is fun. We also play a lot of cards games too — gin rummy, rummy 50 and more. I didn’t open them yet because I’m saving them for in case of an emergency. I will say, the instructions for domino games didn’t match up with the games we play; a minor point. This is a nice set of dominoes and the fact that it is portable makes it even better. Would make a nice gift for any game lover. A high quality product for a decent price.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Quality made to last. This set of Doublefan Dominoes is one that will be around in your collection for years to come. The aluminum storage case is the first clue you've gotten yourself something not like the others.These jumbo sized Dominoes are easy to see and hold. If you have some who has trouble with their eyesite or maybe issues with their hands or fingers this here is the set they definitely need. The bigger Domino tiles have a little more weight to them in comparison too others I have used in the past. They give off an "expensive" feel to them. The markings in each tile are well drilled below the surface and the white paint completely covers the area recessed. I do not see that ever wearing off due to usage since your fingers are not in contact with that area.Included in the manufactures box along with the aluminum case, Dominoes, instruction guide are two decks of playing cards. A nice addition for the impromptu game of Rummy or Go Fish depending upon your opponent.This set Doublefan has produced is one that is a great addition to anyone's game cabinet. As well as this will be the perfect gift for just about any occasion.

These jumbo black dominoes are such a fun upgrade from the standard ones, especially since our eyesight is getting worse every year. The larger size makes them easier to hold and see, which has been great for family game nights with both kids and grandparents. The set feels well made, and the tiles are solid with clear markings.I also like that it comes with a sturdy case and even a couple of playing cards, which is a nice bonus. It’s been a great way to spend time together while also sneaking in a bit of math and strategy practice for the kids. Definitely a good buy for game nights or classroom use.

There are two aspects of these dominos that I really like. First is the oversized piece. Makes it a little easier to read. Second is the white pips on a black material that really make them easy to read. The pieces feel good in the hand and are of high quality.I really don't have any negative things to say about them as they function just like any other domino. If you either want an oversized set or are vision challenged, this is the set for you.

But I am a little bored with Domino boardgame itself after playing with my kids a few times. It is almost impossible to block the opponent's dropping tiles. At the end who wins often determined by whoever start the first. No fun. Not sure if I played wrong. Did watch a few youtube tutorial.

They are very durable and come in an aluminum case for travel and storage.Along with the set of 28 dominoes, you also receive two decks of playing cards that store conveniently in the lid of the case in an elastic loop.The dominoes are kid friendly and are easily cleaned if they become unsanitary. This set was a lot more expensive than my other set of wooden tiles, but the quality of the set does justify the elevated price point in my opinion.The pips are really well defined and easy to read.Each domino reminds of a 'bowling ball' finish, very smooth to the touch.The set comes with a set of instructions, but I found there are better sets of instructions for various games online, including video tutorials.All in all an excellent set of dominos that will stand up to a little abuse.Recommended.In the event that experiences change or evolve, updates may be made to this review to address such developments.
Great for summer parties!
This set has been an absolute essential for the few barbecues and picnics I’ve hosted this summer. The domino tiles are bigger than your rinky-dink tiles that you typically get at a toy store or a dollar store, but they’re not so large that you can’t play a game on a picnic table without running out of space. They feel good and weighty in your hand, and they’re fairly easy to clean with a sanitary wipe (which you should do after every game, people!). The case is lovely and makes it look so fancy… and it sure beats carrying them around in a flimsy cardboard box. The cards are… cards. They’re okay, but if I lose them or misplace them, I won’t cry about it. Honestly, I’ve been replacing one of the decks with a deck of UNO cards, and I also throw in a small plastic baggy of poker chips, and it all fits in this case!

Great set!! We are big gamers in this house so we love stuff like this! I actually realized after I ordered it that we do not have Domino's yet. I really don't have much to compare the set to because it's been years since I've played, but the quality seems to be great. I love the carrying case it comes with! I know it's quite pricey at $52 Canadian, but everything these days has gone up. A simple kids board game you can't find for less than $25 to $30 anymore, so this is on par.
