I have never met a John Roedel poem I didn’t love and this book is no exception. Where Wonderache stands apart is in its bravery. It dives into more of the sensitive issues like religion and politics from a love filled perspective. This is the kind of book the ever polarizing quick to fear and distrust world needs right now. This book is the needed breath away from doom scrolling. It’s an invitation out of the black and white and into the grey of new perspectives. It is a hug from love. It is a wonderful gift to anyone it will touch.

I generally do not like poetry. This poetry, however, is easy to relate to and is not pretentious or floofy. I don't want to call the words "simple," but the way these poems read, you feel like a friend is speaking with you rather than an author speaking AT you. There have been no convoluted hyperboles to distract you from the path the author takes you along, so you can feel like you are experiencing the walk right there with him.I can honestly say this is my most favorite book of poetry in my collection.

I love John's writings and this book is fantastic. He says such insightful things and brings great lucidity to the human struggle. I am so glad that he is a seeker of truth and experience. I make it a practice to carry this book around the house and stop at moments and just read one of his poems and remember wonder and alternative possibilities.
