I wasn't sure how much value this was really going to bring to me but I was hanging a Samsung Frame TV for a customer and hooking this up to the Dewalt 20v MAX wet-dry vaccume was easy, it fit on the smaller cuff on the inside that you can't see from the main dust collector photo. The suction to the wall was good and there was no slide down of the dust collector as I was fearing. The suction for the dust was also very good and kept their house looking clean while I was drilling into their wall. The black (silicone?) padding was gentile on the walls and didn't leave any marks.While cleaning up dust on the baseboards isn't a huge deal, for anyone that doesn't enjoy bending over this is a life saver. For me I'm able to keep a cleaner work area inside people's homes which I think presents well, espeically when people are paying a premium to have me hang a $1500 TV.

Saw another brand made one of these and I was on the hunt. Now that i’ve found this…. All of the wall work i do for outlets and any penetration (plumbing hvac) get this placed under. I also Use it when sweeping as it sticks to The floor and won’t move. Like a POWER dustpan! Great value! Works well!

I've used similar dust collectors that left me disappointed. Too small or won't stay stuck to the wall. This one is the real deal. Nice and wide, tough plastic, stays where you want it and does what it's supposed to. I love that it has connections for different sized hoses, too, so you don't have to go hunting for adapters or changing hoses.Excellent product.

I tried this out with my Dewalt DCV 581 vac. I wasn't confident the this dust collector (I'm gonna call it a funnel) would really hold itself to a wall. It worked fine a piece of pre-finished birch. I was surprised that it would hold itself to skip trowel finished drywall with flat paint.I think it works because the hole in the base of the funnel is pretty small (about 1/2 inch square). So, you're not going to use it to collect larger pieces of stuff. I didn't try it out, but if you were trying to get through cement backer board (and were able to get the vacuum to stick to the wall) larger pieces of debris might knock it off the wall. For drywall dust, it will work fine. (Then you gotta worry about the filter on your vac.)Where I think it would work great is on the floor. Put it on the floor and sweep the dirt right into your vacuum.The listing claims something along the lines of it working with all brands of vacuum equipment. Usually that kind of a claim is quite a stretch. I was able to connect all sorts of hoses, reducers, and other fittings to it. I probably tried eight to ten different brands of stuff to it, and they all worked.If you do a lot of old work drywall jobs, this could really come in handy.

I have been slowly renovating my house while still living in it at the same time. Because of this it has been a struggle keeping the house clean after each little project and even more so while doing drywall sanding. The dust gets everywhere and I have had to come up with creative solutions to help keep the dust down while sanding. Before this tool, the best I could come up with was using my wet vac with the wide floor attachment and holding that up to the wall just below where I was hand sanding which is just awkward but effective. Funny enough while doing that I envisioned a tool very similar to this DeWalt dust collector and how handy it would be to not have to physically hold up the vac hose, freeing my other hand. After seeing this tool, I knew it was what I needed.The dust collector is made of very durable plastic and feels as though it could take years of job site abuse. I have been using this with my Craftsman 6 hp/16 gal wet vac and it works perfect. I thought for sure that like with many other DeWalt tools I would need a hose adapter but I was presently surprised it fit my shop vac hose perfectly without one. Speaking of the hose, it looks like this tool is designed to fit two different size hose ends. Suction is very good and it holds to the wall securely.Overall I really like this tool and do not have any complaints. The only slight concern I have is that it does seem to make my wet vac work very hard which in the long run may effect the longevity of the vac's motor.When using this tool, do yourself a favor and get a vacuum bag for your shop vac if using this to collect fine dust. Also keep in mind, this tool is really only handy while hand sanding drywall as you will need to keep it under your work area and move it as you go.

This item is great for doing small jobs and people’s homes. When you need to drill a hole for a wall anchor or cut out for an electrical box and don’t want to make a mess reach for this. Before I got this I used to tape a grocery bag to the wall below where I was going to be cutting or drilling, that worked OK, but this is way better! Sticks to the wall well even with light texture.
