As a former smoker of over 15-20 years who now vapes (anywhere between 6-12mg PG/VG E-Fluid, or if I really need it 25-50mg nic salt) I was curious to see if this detects nicotine in my system when it's not from a cigarette (some of my fluids say their nicotine is not from tobacco, whatever that means).TL;DR I was pretty sure this was going to show nicotine in my system, and it did, after the first test was inconclusive.So, not sure if it was a standard failure rate, as I don't normally administer tests like this on myself, or anyone; or if it was because the tests is for cigarettes and I don't smoke, I vape.Either way, I could see a parent buying this to check if their kids are smoking, but I would advise that they make their child/children take a minimum of 3 tests just to ensure a proper test result. (E.G. if the first comes up positive for nic, the second comes up negative, and the third comes up pos, or neg, pos, neg I would probably say the laws of probability dictate that the first was smoking, the second wasn't, or if there were inconclusives between the 3 tests, I'd probably do 4 since you get many in this kit)

They are accurate and give quick results. I am trying to quit smoking and so I have been using these to see how long it takes for nicotine to leave my system. I've also compared the results with a non-smoker in my household to be sure I was not getting false positives. If you're trying to quit smoking OR suspect a teenager is being sneaky, these are perfect.

a pack of these makes each test less than a dollar each! very good deal. it's good to have a few extra in case there are some results that are invalid. it's very easy to use, like other tests for pregnancy or drugs in systems. i can imagine many will use this to see if kids are using tobacco/nicotine products, especially since vaping is so rampant these days and easy to acquire. i wanted to test on myself to see if the nicotine comes up in my system. since i'm trying to quit, having this will be an interesting aid in my process.

The tests are typically available urine tests and seem to work well. I assume they are relatively accurate but I don't have any way to compare it to others. They are well packaged and easy to administer.
