With most paper cutters there is often an approximation of where the cut will be or whether the cut is perfectly perpendicular to the paper edge. This cutter has a fine silver wire visible from above the paper that is an extremely accurate guide. Hence, it is not necessary to butt the paper against the perpendicular guide; all you need to do is align the wire to your material and press down on the rolling cutter. This is perfect for trimming home-made business cards, for example. In addition, the cutter blades can be replaced so there are no annoying paper jams made by incomplete cutting. Finally, the cutter is only about an inch thick so it can be placed on a shelf or book case to be out of the way when not in use.

This works so much better than my previous guillotine style cutter for the light duty paper cutting that I typically do. My old one wouldn’t cut evenly. This one slices so cleanly, and the guide line is so helpful so I can see exactly where the cut will be.

I broke my other one like this. Replaced it with a cheaper one and deeply regretted it. The wire that lets you know exactly where you are cutting makes a world of difference if accuracy is what you are looking for.

I just love this paper cutter…. Is is wider than most, actually has a wire guide over the cutting line which truly makes for a true cut… easy to use, great value easy to store away as it is slimmer and light, comes with two new blades.
