With our small business, we do a lot of shipping and have to buy a lot of postage so it is of the utmost importance to have precise weights of each package. If the weights are off, that could result in buying too much or not enough postage. When buying too much postage, there is no refund. The postal service keeps those funds. However, when inadvertently shorting postage fees, the package can be delayed or even sent back to the sender for a correction which delays delivery and can result in losing a customer if they get upset. So accurate weights of our packages is a definite must. Most of our packages are on the smaller side, but we do have some that are fairly substantial as far as size and weight go, so that is going to be the primary use of this WestHey scale for us.This scale runs on either 2 AA batteries or can be plugged in with a USB cord. Last but not least, the scale is usable up to 440-pounds. The high weight capacity can help when traveling to see if any of your luggage exceeds a weight threshold. Also you can weigh your pets to track their growth, or if they appear to be losing weight, you will be able to track that as well. The moveable display is very useful too, because a lot of scales have displays that will be blocked when weighing a sizeable package. With the display being attached to a cable, you can move the screen to see the weight.I have seen reviews which call into question the accuracy when weighing lightweight packages. I have not had any issues with that thus far. I have been weighing packages on one of my other lower weight scales in addition to the WestHey, and they have either always matched or been off by no more than 0.1 of an ounce. I prepare weighed ingredient batches for one of my hobbies. The weight doesn't need to be exact, but to the closest ounce is desirable. For several years I've been using a small postal scale that was barely large enough to hold the tote I was weighing. Also, I will occasionally pre-weigh packages to complete shipping labels before dropping them with the carrier. With very large packages, I would have to reach under the package and hit the weight hold button before removing the package to read the scale display.Happy to have this new scale available for both of these weighing needs. I really like the extra feature of being able to use the scale to weigh myself. As someone that needs a larger accurate postal scale from time to time, I will not take advantage of the ability to mount the scale display in a permanent location. I'd much rather take the scale to the work vs. the other way around.I ran the scale on the included AAA batteries and also from the on-board rechargeable battery built into the display. Initial charge of the display took a few hours, but I didn't time it out exactly.My function test was to weigh a tote with material on the previous postal scale and on the new scale. Both scales measured the same 15lbs. 0.5ounce weight. As a stress test, I also weighed myself on the new scale. Weight appeared to be similar to the weight displayed on our bathroom scale, but at a much greater level of precision.Scale includes a decent instruction manual describing the additional features of the scale (tare weight, display hold, etc.), 2-pack of AAA batteries, USB-C charging cable, and hardware for mounting the display on drywall.

This is a great shipping scale and makes it incredibly easy for me to get products weighed and shipped out without having to worry about weather the weight is right. I often ship things that are above 50lb making a traditional shipping scale not an attractive option for me as a small business owner. Another thing I like is the size of this scale, It's just small enough to stow away perfectly on my desk and at the same time be big enough to weigh very big boxes. The wired viewscreen is an ingenuous idea allowing me to weigh boxes that are much bigger than the scale itself while still being able to see the readout for the weight. All in all this has been a great scale that has made my life as a small business owner much simpler and easy. And at the end of the day that's all I could ask for.
