These roll on pain relievers have a roller ball top and is easy to put on. This pain relief roll on is 4% menthol. This fits in the palm of your hand.In use, this worked very good. I had a sore neck and a headache coming on and I rolled this on my neck and the smell helped my headache and the roll on reminded me a lot like a muscle rub. It got cool at first and the cool turned into a burning sensation. This sensation lasted for probably about an hour and was very effective. The smell did transfer to my hand when I rubbed my neck later on after it was dry. It did not dry oily or with any residues. It was very effective for what I used it for. I did notice this had yellow 5 in it and blue 1 so if you're a person that looks out for a specific dyes those are in this.The value on this pain relief roll on is about what you would expect to pay for something like this. I feel like the amount you get and the performance versus the cost make this feel normal. Giving this a reasonable value at the time of this review and in my opinion.Overall this pain relief roll on has a strong smell but is not offensive. It felt good and worked well and was easy to apply. I would have no problem recommending this to somebody else.

Felt pretty effective, didn't feel like the numbing effect penetrated very deep, but it was pretty quick and noticeable. But, this was really very sticky, and it stayed tacky for longer than I'd expected. Just not a feeling I enjoy on my skin, touching my clothes, ugh. I don't know how much pain I would trade to not feel the stickiness, but I dunno, it's just not for me. I think there are likely people who would benefit from this. I know when I had some shallow pain from what was essentially a large burn, mostly healed but had lingering pain for a long time, well for that I probably would have loved this. Well, I'd have loved the numbing, I'd still want a bandage or something over this so it didn't get on my clothes.

I really wanted this to be good, but if you deal with chronic pain like I do, this just doesn't do much and certainly doesn't work as well as some other menthol based pain relief roll-ons, of which I've used plenty. It does help some, so if you aren't dealing with chronic pain issues, it might work well enough. I did notice it doesn't give much of a sensation at all when applying, which seems a bit off for a menthol based product.

These roll-ons do work; like many similar roll-ons, the initial release of gel can take a bit of rolling to properly have the gel spread.So far, it doesn't have strange distribution issues where a chunk of gel sometimes comes out unexpectedly, which some roll-ons have an issue with.The sensation I got from these was more of an icy burn sensation; not entirely unpleasant, but can be distracting.The targets nerves part, I'm not too certain about. It didn't seem to help much with nerve pain, just with things like minor aches.

This pain relief gel was a lifesaver for my shoulder, leg, and lower back pain. It kicked in pretty quickly and gave a nice cooling relief without any burning sensation. I really appreciated that there was no strong smell—just a clean, almost scent-free experience. The roll-on made application super easy and mess-free, which is great when you don’t want to get your hands all sticky. It absorbs well and doesn’t leave any greasy residue. Definitely a great option for quick relief without any overpowering menthol scent!

The CareLiving Pain Relief Roll-On Gel is an okay product. The packaging states that it is “Fragrance-Free” however there is a lingering smell of menthol. When I say lingering – I washed my hand where I applied it at least four times within an hour and the smell of menthol remained present.The packaging states that the CareLiving roll-on gel contains 4 percent menthol – a common percentage of menthol but well below what some other brands are offering. I use the words, “the packaging states” because there is NO third-party certification. Additionally, the product is made in China and there is no statement that the gel is manufactured in a certified facility.The CareLiving gel rolls on easily. There is a cooling sensation as one would expect from a menthol-based product. I like the handy size – I intend to place one in my medicine cabinet and the other in my travel shaving kit.
