We have two dogs and one is a little over a year and one is 9. When we got the puppy my kids got my husband a DNA test for him and it is was pretty accurate according to what the humane society told us he was. We've always wondering about our 9 year old dog so this test was for her.I'm just getting ready to send this in so I will have to update this review with her results but I wanted to write about how easy this was to use.There is a QR code on the box which makes registering the product a breeze. I recommend doing this before you do everything else so you don't get overzealous and close up the box without getting the activation code from inside it.I unscrewed the swab and swabbed the inside of her cheek for 30 seconds, I think she actually enjoyed this. Make sure not give them any food or drink for 30 minutes before you do this.After she was swabbed I unscrewed the top and screwed it into the bottom, there is liquid in there. You shake the tube10 times and then place it into the included bag and then into the pre-packaged, pre-paid box. After that you just put it in the mail and wait.The box is packaged really well and the one the kit comes in is the one one that you send in the mail. Just be careful when you open it, I somehow managed to cut my thumb on mine.I'm really excited to see what our Atari is after all these years.

This doggy DNA kit is super simple to use. I really like the way they packaged the kit. It's very compact and creates little waste. The box it comes in is also the return box, so don't throw it away! I've had all of my dogs' DNA tested with another kit, so I'm going to be comparing the results of my trickiest DNA'd pup. It takes a while for the DNA to go through testing, so I'll update this with their findings when I get it back.

I'm so excited to try out this ancestry kit for my dog. He is a mixed breed but we're just guessing at this point like most of us are. I'm very curious to find out what he actually is and not just label him as a pit mix. Very easy to swab the inside of his mouth and send off with shipping labels already included. I can't wait for the results we'll add an update once I receive them.

Kit is easy to use and instructions are well-written and easy to understand. I swabbed inside of the dog's cheek and sent the test away. Awaiting results on our Rocky - can't wait to see what our rescue dog is. Will update once we know!
