My two-year-old daughter played with this throughout the day when it arrived. She was fascinated by it. One word of note, the magnets are quite small so it will be easier for her to "hook" the fish as she gets older and more coordinated, but even that didn't stop her from playing with it.

one of the two fishing rods arrived broken. plastic handle split, wouldn't wind. Very cheap toy for the money. I doubt it would last very long in a toddler's hands. Very cute idea, just needs to be a sturdier fishing rod. Going back for a refund.

It is a fun toy for toddlers, brings a lot of fish, my only complaint is the string gets tangled and popped very easily and I had to tie it back.

I got this toy for a water play date for several kids between 2 and 5 years old. They all loved using the fishing rods since they can actually actuate the pulley to make the string go down and them pull back as it is done during real fishing.There are a lot of fishes, at firs I though they were not necessary but it was great to have them all for several kids playing at the same time. This toy was the favorite among other water tables and toys so I'm very satisfied with this purchase.The pool inflates easily and I love that this is toy that can be stored compacted in the closet when not in use.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This magnetic fish game is a simple concept but provides a lot of entertainment. The magnets are good, the fish float well, and it's easy for kids to use. Definitely makes bath time more fun and engaging. Happy with this purchase!

The fish are way smaller than the picture on Bolo, definitely a choking hazard. This is the 3 pole version with 44 fish. The inflator is a joke. Cheaply made. Will be returning. Definitely not worth $21

My two-year-old son just loves his Magnetic Fishing Game Toys for Kids Toddlers. He likes taking the rod with the net, scooping up the plastic fish, and putting them back in the tub. It has the plastic fish, plus a pole, and a net. The plastic that all of this is made from is ABS, which is non-toxic, so it's safe to use outdoors or in the tub. We don't have to worry about any toxins getting into the water. It's a great bath time toy, but it also helps him with things like his hand-eye coordination, color recognition, and learning numbers, too. It would be great for a toddler or any kid up to about six. If you know a kid between the ages of three and six, this would be a good gift for them.

Couldn't believe just how many fish came in the kit. Honestly didn't have the patience to count them all. The fishing rods are telescopic though and the smallest guides on the very top had some trouble staying on so I had to super glue them onto the rods. No big deal. The "reels" don't cast though - which is probably a good thing because you can't trust kids with projectiles - so the only way to increase the length of the string is to "un-reel" them. Once they reach their full length (which really isn't that long) they start going back up again, so you can tell that they're anchored to a single axle on the inside. Unfortunately, you're stuck with reeling with your right hand since you can't change the position of the handle, and it does click rather loudly when you reel. You also don't have a choice of lure since the turtle magnet is the only one with a loop on the back; HOWEVER, it's definitely possible to untie it and put your own magnet on if you wish.As for the experience, I won't lie that my niece and I had a blast fishing in the tub. But you are kind of limited by the length of the line, so it's more like dipping than it is fishing. The little plastic nets were a great learning tool though since you can't boat flip every fish in real life. lol Part of me is disappointed that the reels don't cast, but you can't expect miracles with such a small set. Really glad the rods are telescopic though because it saves on storage space and reduces the risk of accidental breakage. But you'll need a sizable bucket or container for all the fish that's for sure. Loving the handle length too because they fit my hands like a glove. A fun and portable set!
