The fan works well, is pretty quiet, and seems well made. I returned it because if power is interrupted the fan doesn’t come back on once power is restored. The on/off and speed controls are digital and if power is lost they automatically reset to off. I need a fan that will come back on on its own if power is interrupted but then restored, like my attack fan does. I did not intent to use it in the attic. Other than this one thing the fan is great.

This is perfect for what I needed. I use it to move air through our basement and exhaust it through a window. Super powerful and very quiet unit.

I used this fan for a Corsi–Rosenthal filter at work. I used the "Filter King 12x12x1 Air Filter | 4-PACK | MERV 13 HVAC Pleated A/C Furnace Filters" and 3m foil tape. It fits under my desk and has greatly impoved the air quality in my office. Mine did not come with a rotary knob, and instead came with a 3 level push button switch. On low I can not hear it, and on high it really moves the air. My office is roughly 14x30 with 4 people in it all day and many who come in and out.
