5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and unique pool toy!
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } This is a fun and unique toy! We live in Las Vegas so we spend a lot of time in the pool about 8 months out of the year. I'm glad to see companies coming out with different toys, as the same old diving rings get boring and old after a while. My son is 12 and is able to use this blaster easily, but I think it would be harder for a younger child. It's a bit of a learning curve to get this thing to blast the rings underwater, but once you get the hang of it it's pretty fun and simple. They don't go far, but that's OK with us.The plastic does seem sturdy enough to last a while, but time will tell if it will last us through the year! At this price though, it would be easy enough to replace.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good for younger kids
This is a toy that kids can play with in the bathtub or pool. The bubbles aren't as strong or long-lasting as I expected, and they disappear fairly quickly. However, it could be a great way to get toddlers or younger children interested in water if they’re a bit scared. Older kids might lose interest quickly, but for little ones, it can be a fun and engaging toy.
3.0 out of 5 stars Its OK
My kids all lost interest in this pretty quickly. It works OK and kind of push water in the pool like a tornado of sorts, but the novelty wears off quickly, as it's just a small effect.
2.0 out of 5 stars Sounded more fun than it actually was
Gimmicky underwater blaster that shoots barely more than an arm's length. Sounded neat but the kids (and adults) lost interest in it pretty quickly.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fun little toy
This toy is pretty cool. The only thing I noticed was it has to be held a specific way underwater to properly make the rings.
4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty cool
My kids actually thought this toy was pretty cool. My 8 year old said he would give it 4 stars out of 5. It's actually really simple to use and doesn't take batteries. It just purely works off the pressure of the water. I do wish the water rings were a little more pronounced, but it's still cool nonetheless. They had fun just going underwater with their goggles and watching the ring glide through the water. It kept them entertained for a while. It does go about 5 feet, as stated, maybe a little less. But, it's just kind of cool to see it create a ring in the water. Like I said, I didn't think it would really work, but it does. It doesn't work every single time you try it, but it does definitely work. I would recommend it.
3.0 out of 5 stars Hit and miss
I was convinced this wasn’t making any rings and was just pushing large amounts of water through, but when it got dark and the pool lights turned on, I was able to see the rings! It reminded me of cartoons puffing smoke rings through the air, except it’s underwater. Unfortunately, it was hit-and-miss as I couldn’t get it to consistently make rings every time. I’m not sure if it has to do with how long it’s submerged or what, but it doesn’t work consistently and becomes frustrating.
5.0 out of 5 stars Super cool!
This little gun is super simplistic but it's actually pretty neat! My kids love to dive underwater, they spend a ton of their swimming time underwater. So we are always trying to find fun and inventive things for them to do with their goggles. My kids are also very imaginative so they can create a story out of almost nothing. This was a super fun toy for them to play with. Yes, it seems a little silly, but honestly it's really cool in its simplicity. You bring the gun underwater handle side down, allowing air to get trapped in the cylinder. Then you simply pull the trigger, which is easy enough for even toddlers, and you get a cool air bubble shaped in a ring. It's a kind of small ring but it's still really cool. You get quite a few out of one "reload" of air. I counted 10 or so. They do get smaller as you go.The gun itself is made of sturdy plastic but like most pool toys, if you leave them out they will deteriorate. So we keep this one stored when not using it.It's a super fun pool toy as long as you know what you're getting.
