Great movie

5.0 out of 5 stars So far so good

N. · December 15, 2024

Love the Protostar starship and the overall storyline. A couple of the characters, animated though they may be, are annoying. Then again not everyone can be a Captain Picard or a Captain Kirk.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best of Star Trek (Out of the newer ones)

D. · June 7, 2025

Probably one of, if not the best, of the newer Star Treks. It has a learning curve for the teenagers, but they develop over the show.

4.0 out of 5 stars Animated Star Trek series at it’s finest

D.B. · March 6, 2025

Fabulous Star Trek animated series. Made for kids of all ages. The storylines are very well written. Great action and humor.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Addition to the Trek Canon!

R. · November 25, 2024

In the second season of “Star Trek: Prodigy” the Protostar crew fulfills Admiral Janeway’s mission to find Captain Chakotay (Robert Beltran). Admiral Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) recruits Dal R’El (Brett Gray), Rok-Tahk (Rylee Alazraqui, Jankom Pog (Jason Mantzoukas), Murf (Dee Bradley Baker), and Zero (Angus Imrie) aboard the Voyager-A on her mission. The new recruits find themselves snubbed by Nova Squadron, similar to the Red Squad of “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,” particularly its member Maj’el (Michaela Dietz). Though Janeway and Starfleet want to avoid temporal incursions, they soon find themselves in a paradox in which they can rescue the wayward captain. Their adventures include an exploration of Illurian culture in the late twenty-fourth century, one of many discussions of Starfleet temporal mechanics, a visit to parallel universes including the Mirror Universe, and more. Joining the regular cast are Robert Picardo as the Doctor, Wil Wheaton as Wesley Crusher, Jason Alexander as Noum, Ronny Cox as Edward Jellico, Erin Macdonald as herself, Gates McFadden as Beverly Crusher, and more. The series continues to fill in the time between “Star Trek: Nemesis” and the 2009 “Star Trek” film, eventually featuring the Romulan supernova. If “Lower Decks” is the direct sequel to “The Next Generation” and “Deep Space Nine,” then “Prodigy” is the sequel to “Voyager” and directly connects to the flashbacks in “Picard.” Bonus features on this Blu-ray set include “Producing Prodigy: The Legacy” and “The Odyssey of Prodigy.” This set is a great way for Trekkers to add this to their home media collections and looks great alongside other “Star Trek” seasons on the shelf.

5.0 out of 5 stars Prodigy is Incredible

T.B.C. · November 26, 2024

Star Trek Prodigy is a prime example of how when you have incredible aotrytellers and incredible artists and you allow them to use every ounce of their talent, then they can create magic. It’s a shame Paramount+ cancelled this incredible series as it really is at the forefront of what children’s animation can aspire to be 🖖

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent series too bad Paramount was ignorant about it

W.G. · January 2, 2025

Series hits points forfans and good story telling and Paramount treatment of the series is crimnal!
