Just got it today, charged fully within a few hours. Operated easily and did a great job. Can clean at random patterns or letter N pattern by changing the front wheel. Instructions for that were vague but I figured it out.Despite it doing a great job on fine particles at the bottom of our pool it did keep getting stuck in one spot. That is not really the fault of the robot as they do suggest that you have a perfectly flat pool. I am returning it just because of it getting stuck in the one spot on a consistent basis but when it did run it did a very good job.

The media could not be loaded. I had the opportunity to pick up this pool bot a few weeks ago. Today, I wad finally able to get it out of the box and put it into action.It is very simple. Take out of the box, plug in power cord into port on bottom of bot and plug the other in to a wall outlet. Let charge fully. The light blinks until it is fully charged. Then it glows solid.It is a clip on top, removed by pulling up on the little side handles. Inside is a screen filter where any debris collected is deposited. It works by water propulsion, using the bot along the pool floor. The wheels do not have any type of power or automation to them. You push the power button then let it free to room the pool floor. This little pool sucker is FAST!What I was not aware of and now I am, is this bot is meant to clean the floor of a FLAT bottomed pool. I have a hopper/dish deep end to my on-ground, Gibraltar pool.I watched the bot do a few maneuvers the more shallow flat portion of the pool, then it descended to the depths of the deeper, dish end. I watched it zip around the deep end, trying mightily, time and time again to make it back to the flat floor. Tima and time again, it reversed position and went back down. THEN....IT MADE IT OUT! There's one small area on each edge of the hopper that eases back to the flat floor. The bot was able to escape the depths, price sly at this spot. Overall it spend MOST of its time in the depths, unable to return to the shallow end.Once I was satisfied with my test, I removed the bot from the pool. It has a hinged handle on top you can snag with your pool extension pole outfitted with a plastic hook attachment that comes packaged with the pool bot.I popped open the top to find a decent amount of collected debris. The collection filter is easy to remove and the collection bin of the bot is easy to rinse and clean. Putting the filter back on is a little tricky, as it looks symmetrical, but it isn't, it has a specific way it sets back inside. Once you realize that, it's easy to replace.Overall I think the performance of the bot is fantastic for this price range. It's not fussy, it is easy and simple to operate and maintain. It really is best suited for flat bottom pools, .but it tries so hard! : )I think the plastic housing will be okay and last if you take the bot from the water as soon as it is done, rinse with clean water and store in a place away from t he sun. I'd store it in a climate controlled area for winter. The same plastic is used for the lift handle. To me it feels like it could snap easily...the plastic feels a bit fragile.For this price, you can't go wrong. Throw it in and let this little mighty bot clean the bottom of your pool.

I am a proud owner of a 16' above ground pool. One of my biggest regrets is putting it under a pine tree. Every day we get thousands of pine needles raining down into our pool and despite my best efforts with a solar cover and skimmer, pine needles and dirt end up on the floor on a daily basis. Vacuuming takes about an hour so I decided to give this robot a try.I've been using this daily for about 3 weeks now, and I must say, this pool robot has a lot of value for its price point. It lasts between an hour and an hour-fifteen, but it's plenty enough battery life to get the whole bottom of my 16' pool clean. It says it "auto parks" and as far as I can tell that's what it does. When it runs low on battery it finds an edge and stays there, making it easy to scoop out with the included hook attachment.It's fairly decent at picking up the pine needles and doesn't leave too much behind. Since my pool is round, it doesn't struggle with corners. I imagine a square pool or one with stairs or slopes might present a different challenge. Also, really fine particles like pollen goes right through the robot's screen, so when I use it, it often clouds the water. It's definitely not a full replacement for vacuuming to waste and a decent filter, but for daily floor cleaning, it's excellent.It's easy to use, just press one button and plop it in the water. Feels like it was made with pretty high quality plastic, so I don't foresee any issues with it coming apart. Just don't use it while you're swimming and accidentally step on it.Emptying it is super easy, just take the top off, rinse out the reservoir with a hose, and then put it back together and you're golden. Make sure you clean it right after you take it out to prevent grit from drying on the screen.It takes more than a few hours to charge so I plan on running it daily and let it charge overnight.If you have a small to medium sized pool, this robot will work well for you. If you have a larger pool or one with a big slope, you're going to want something with a little more battery life. That said, it works just fine for the size of our pool. If you're on the fence about getting this, I say give it a try.

I have a 30ft round above ground pool. So this little robot seems to work well in a flat bottom pool. I can't say how it would work in a deeper/sloped pool.It was easy to use, just give it a full charge, turn it on and drop it in. It will start zooming around the pool, and pretty fast too! It has some weight to it and feels pretty tough, so hopefully it will last a while. It randomly just changes direction and so it doesn't always hit every part of the pool, but this is pretty much how they all work.I was a bit disappointed in the battery life. It only ran for about an hour on a full charge. I was expecting longer, so 1 cleaning cycle didn't cover everywhere. 2 Cycles seems to work pretty well.It did pick up quite a bit of debris, even small stuff.For this price, it is a nice addition to my pool. I like it a lot, but I have to take away 1 star for battery life. It needs to run longer for a larger size pool.
