This mantle was beautiful. Had a rental that had a fireplace but needed a mantle. This was an excellent price and looks great. Bolo has been amazing for sourcing materials.

As the title states the wooden mantle is beautiful. Solid wood, lovely stain choice, and well constructed with squared seams and no gaps. The hardware, however, is awful. My husband installed this, and is a well-rounded handyman who could build a house from the ground up. The bitten-off swearing that accompanied this installation was colorful, to say the least. It's up, and looks nice, but I'm under strict orders not to put a ton of weight on it until he can replace the hardware with something beefier. Basically, if you can screw the brackets directly into the studs, you'll be fine, but the drywall anchors are a joke.

Wowza! I really needed to update the look of our living room from a traditional look to more of a modern look. I thought that getting this floating fireplace mantle shelf would be the perfect solution and I do believe it is. It’s beyond gorgeous.This rustic looking, but solid wood mantle, is 72 inches long by 8 inches wide and 5 inches deep. It’s incredibly beautiful. I chose the rustic traditional finish on it. It makes the mantle piece look like it was made when the house was built.It just looks so very authentic, very modern and very, very nice and I expected it to be very heavy. I was able to actually carry the mantle, that was in the box, into the house by myself. Surprisingly light yet it is that super rustic look and heavy duty enough to handle all of the needs that I want in a fireplace mantle..There were a couple of choices on size, but I know as big as our fireplace is that I needed the 72 inches. I’m going to need a friend help in order to put this up. Not that it’s too heavy, but it is long enough that I need help with somebody holding it up while I attach the hardware that came with it. And I have to tell you being that it is handcrafted from a solid piece of pine wood. I know that it will be plenty durable. This will be sturdy and handcrafted to last for many years.I’m actually getting really excited for Christmas now so that I can put our stockings on our new wood mantle. It’s going to look beautiful. It certainly looks effortless to put it up since it does come with all the installation accessories, like detailed instructions, wall anchor screws, and the invisible shelf brackets this will make sure that my floating mantle is up just the way that it needs to. This way I don’t need to worry about it once it is up. There are more than enough pieces of hardware to place this above my fireplace.It did cause a pretty penny, but I guarantee if you went to a store that sold these wood mantles, or just persons who make them, you’re going to pay this or much more. With this floating mantle I have all of the hardware and the instructions to put it up, that doesn’t come when you get that from your neighbor that fashions these. It’s not that I don’t support them but I need to make sure that everything is up just right.So instead of this being an expense it’s going to be an investment in our home that in my opinion will add tons of value to our home. It’s going to take it from that traditional look that it has now, to the more modern or even rustic look, depending on how I decorate around it. I love this!
