Spoiler: it wasn’t. This thing? A total lifesaver. It doesn’t just blow cold air—it blasts it like it’s trying to prove a point.Setup was pretty painless. I didn’t need a degree in engineering—just had to wrestle with the window kit for a bit and boom, cool air on demand. It’s got wheels, which is great, because I have the upper body strength of a kitten and still managed to roll it from room to room.It’s got three modes: AC, fan, and dehumidifier. I mostly stick to AC because I want to live in an icebox, but the other modes are a nice bonus. Yeah, it makes some noise, but it’s kind of a soothing “I’m working hard for you” type of hum. Like a loyal little robot.Long story short: if you’re melting in your own home and tired of pretending heat builds character, get this thing. Your sweat glands will thank you.

The media could not be loaded. I wasn’t sure how well a dual dehumidifier /ac unit, especially one that is 14,000btu would work doing two jobs instead of just one big job, but this unit is a beast!The fan power, even without cooling activated, is enough to reduce the temp in a large area on its own. The remote makes switching processes easier than the buttons on the unit, but it can all be run from the base unit without remote use. I attached a video of the flap moving up and down to better circulate the air.I have not yet gotten a lot of water built up, but it’s just starting to warm up in WI where I’m at. It will get extremely humid here during the summer which is why I wanted the dual function unit. I’m so happy with this portable ac for a few $$ more than a standard portable one and now I don’t need the additional $250+ dehumidifier. I’m just going to use the attached line to connect a hose and have it run out the machine vs emptying a tray.Super happy with the strong fan and low noise in a/c mode. !!!!

Bought this when I saw all the other reviews. The only 1star review mentioned it turns off by itself which is true. It will show that it’s on but not run (the room is obviously a lot hotter than the shown temp). You have to turn it off and turn it back on. Not a huge deal since it’s in my boy’s room and it’s maybe 12x15. When it runs it does a great job! Just wish I could figure out why it turns off randomly.

This portable air conditioner works great and comes with a lot of features. One issue I had with my previous portable air conditioner was that I couldn't tell when it was full of water. I'd have to always guess and drain it to see if it was full of water. This portable air conditioner solves this issue by having a indicator on the top that lights up when full, saving me so much time. It cools my room pretty easily and the noise is pretty on par with what you can expect with a portable air conditioner. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with this portable air conditioner due to it's features, efficiency, and easy to understand instructions.

My garage is converted to a room and it’s always hot there. I have a vent from the central ac there but it doesn’t help much. But this AC is a lifesaver. I should off get it long time ago. It cools the whole room pretty fast. I usually turn it on before I go to walk my dog. When I come back, the room is cool. I like that it has multiple setting and I almost never use control. Everything is on schedule. I think this is a great thing, I wish I could discover it earlier.

We purchased this based on reviews we read. We received the package which was packaged very well. This item though consistently turns off and back on re sets itself. It does not really cool your room that well. We put it in our bedroom which is a smaller 15 x15 bedroom. Not worth the time. Why I did not return it. I unfortunately threw away the packaging and box (Which was my mistake) never thought this item would work so poorly! Since I did not have the box and packaging I am not spending more money on this stuff. So it is in our basement now, we are going to have to get a window air never again throw away packaging until you know the item works!!
