Eastanbul Cocoa Hazelnut Spread beats that one hands down. Why? Because it is absolutely loaded with hazelnuts. All is right with the world when you take a bite of this stuff, At 180 calories a tablespoon, it's quite decadent. I say this is the perfect "cheat" treat, though. It will stay with you for a long time, and it's just so darn good.

Review of: Eastanbul Cocoa Hazelnut Spread, 11.6oz, Chocolate Hazelnut Spread, No Palm Oil, Rich & Creamy 35% Nuts, Gluten-Free, Low Sugar, All Natural Ingredients, No AdditivesThis Eastanbul Cocoa Hazelnut spread is absolutely delicious. Granted, I love hazelnuts and I love cocoa. But yes, it’s good.The ingredients on the jar (glass) are slightly different than the product page: powdered sugar vs granulated sugar.That’s okay. What’s odd, though, is that the nutrition facts are also different in ways I wouldn’t expect from that substitution. Some of the differences are slight. But the saturated fat claims to be 1.1g now instead of 12.63g. The sodium is 10mg vs 310mg. And they’ve somehow managed to sneak a bit of calcium, iron and potassium in there. I’ll put a picture from the label in my review so you can see the whole thing.The consistency straight out of the room temperature jar was pretty runny...and I expected that. It had separated in shipment, as all natural nut butters do. I managed to stir it up a bit and it was better. I refrigerated it after my first sampling and after refrigeration, it’s a bit thicker but still not real thick. It’s what I like to call messy...but worth it.The hazelnut/cocoa ratio was perfect. A good chocolate taste without overwhelming the nut taste. And no added salt or artificial sweeteners!Still, as much as I enjoyed the spread, and knowing that all Cocoa Hazelnut Spreads are a bit up there in price, I do think it is a bit expensive (right around $13 for an 11.6 ounce jar) for the amount of product that is in the jar; so a single star off for that.

I love that other popular hazelnut spread, so I thought I'd give this one a try since it's purported to be lower in sugar. And it is, though only slightly. I would not go so far as to call this "healthy". Eastanbul Cocoa Hazelnut Spread has 180 calories and 12g of carbs and 11g of added sugars for a single tablespoon, which still renders it a very sweet treat. By comparison, that other hazelnut spread has 100 calories, and about the same number of carbs and added sugars. The only difference between the two is that this spread has hazelnuts, and not sugar, as the first ingredient on the label. It also has no palm oils, preservatives, gluten, or other undesirable additives. The taste is decidedly rich and decadent, and the texture is silky and creamy. It's not something you'd want to eat often, though it's great for an occasional treat. I really think the hazelnut taste is more prominent in this spread, which I love. This would be great on a fruit board as a dip, to drizzle over your favorite vanilla ice cream, or to serve on toast, if you wish. Really great product if you like a rich cocoa hazelnut spread!

Unfortunately since my jar of hazelnut spread came busted open all over the shipping package bag, I can only say that the spread smelled sweet and the texture of it was quite runny/smooth. I had to toss the whole package away and by all means I know it's not the sellers fault. The price is a bit steep for the size.

This hazelnut spread is just as good as the famous brand, if not better! It's rich, creamy, and made with 35% Turkish hazelnuts. Spread it on toast or mix it into smoothies or crepes for a treat. It's so good I wouldn't bat an eye at the $13 price tag!

This is delicious.Since I started dating my wife, I've avoided Nutella. She told me about the horrible exploitation that goes into producing palm oil, one of the major ingredients in Nutella. Although I love the stuff, I think her concerns are fair and the abuse that goes into producing the product far outweighs whatever small pleasure I get from eating it.When I saw this similar product, containing NO palm oil, I jumped on it. I'm very glad I did. I haven't had "real" Nutella for a while, but this does not leave me wanting for it. It's perfect. The oils do separate, so the bottle suggests stirring before use, which can take some effort due to how thicc it is. Totally worth it.The only reason it lost a star is because the plastic cap is extremely flimsy and came cracked in such a way that I'm unable to properly reseal the jar. My laziness paired with my concerns about storage made me put off opening and trying this, but it's 4 am and I wanted some chocolatey hazelnut spread, dang it. I wrapped packing tape around the cracked lid and popped it in the fridge after closing it back up for good measure. Hopefully it'll be ok.
