After processing, the beans undergo a meticulous selection to ensure zero defects: even a single imperfect Arabica coffee bean can compromise the aroma of our blend. We preserve and enhance the aromas through our patented pressurized cans. Patented in 1934 by illy, pressurization is a preservation system in which the air in the tin is replaced by an inert gas at a pressure greater than that of the atmosphere. In this way, not only is the freshness of our coffee maintained, but its aroma is also enhanced.

The same great taste that I'd expect from illy in a convenient format! I've tried various different instant coffee options, and these instant sticks take the cake on quality, flavor and convenience.

I thought I ordered Illy K-cups, but this product is small packets of instant Illy coffee. So beware, that you understand this is not K-cups, and it is not returnable. I went ahead and made a cup of coffee with it, and it was pretty good. I'll use it when I travel, since we always have access to hot water. It was my fault that I ordered the wrong thing, but the coffee tastes good, so I'm giving it 3 stars.

A total let down,very weak coffee experience for an illy product ,had to use 2 sachets a cup to get anything that resembles a decent cup of coffee which is very odd as I have been drinking illy for 30 years ,I will go back to the loose instant coffee instead!

Right after receiving this, I ran a taste test: Illy pod in a serious expresso machine vs. a stick of this instant made with hot water from the same machine (water was added to the expresso to reach the same volume).The difference is immediately clear. The pod is mild, but has earthy undertones and a very subtle fragrance. The stick has sweetish undertones and a fragrance that hits fairly hard and I feel is typical of other instant powders (it may be related to what the drying-out process does to the actual coffee).Next up is a head-to-head test against Starbucks Via. :)
