Overall, I think I'll be switching over to products like this from now on, especially since it's cheaper, faster, and easier to use than traditional yarn. However, it's not wool, it's acrylic, but that works better for my purposes

I will admit that I did not get this for hair extensions but had seen crochet listed in the description so I thought I could use it for a macrame style plant holder or something. It will be very difficult to use for such projects. Since I don't use hair extensions, I am not sure how they are supposed to look and feel but this does not really look or feel like hair to me. It is acrylic and extremely shiny and rather course and frayee. It feels to me like it would be hard to use but if this description matches what you are used to using, by all means, buy it. The photos in the listing look very much like the color, sheen and texture you will receive. You get 6 rolls for $17 which seems like a pretty decent deal to me because each roll has so much on it, I would think it would last a rather long time.

I haven't used yet-- we are planning to twist, wrap mine and teen granddaughters hair to enjoy during summer season and traveling!
