This may be a little long winded but will hopefully cover any information you might be wanting before purchasing. If you are looking at purchasing this tricycle, then your budget to do so is probably like mine, on the lower side. I bought this for my 80 year mama who doesnt get around that well. She is just 5 foot. This tricycle says to fit people as short as 4'9" (more on that below). At the time of purchase this Tricycle cost me $709 with free shipping. Which pretty effectively makes it the cheapest one on Bolo. Keep that in mind as you read. Because during the assembly, I didnt have real high hopes that it would be as nice as it was in the pictures. Side note: When you open the box it comes in, take a second and marvel at how well its packaged. It took me a few moments to even decide where to begin to get it outta the box.Assembly was very smooth with the video. The bike seems to be mostly tuned at the plant. So you are more or less just attaching the misc. stuff. The handlebars were a bit confusing until I pulled up the video. Then it made sense. There were a few things that were a little bent or misaligned. Nothing that wasnt easy to fix. Most the the attachment points have enough play to get things where they need to be. This was still WAY better then I expected. When you purchase the cheapest of anything, most of the time it borders on frustration and regret. You'll get neither with this bike. The hardware seems to be stainless steel. Which is great. They shouldnt rust. My only complaint is that the washers are just straight washers. They really needed to be locking washers. With moderate use, I dont see how some of these screws will not back out and loosen a bit. The only problem I encountered was one of the chain guides was bent and the screws were loose. Had to get a pair of pliers and bend a couple of places and realigned the guards and put the chain back on. They include 2 allen wrenches but these screws were of a different size. Thankfully I have many of my own and found one that fit. Id suggest looking first at the chains and guides to make sure they are straight and tight. I didnt notice mine till I tried to ride it the first time. I had to tilt the bike on its tail so the front tire was pointing towards the ski. I had to use pillows to protect the rear fenders cause I didnt feel like taking them off to do this quick fix. But wouldnt hurt to have some extra allen wrenches and if possible, locking washing before you start.Functionality is pretty good. I did a test ride with my mama in mind. There were some issues. First, the bike is supposed to be usable by people as short as 4'9". I dont know about that. The seat is really high. Even on its lowest setting. Stepping into the bike isnt really a problem but the seat is... and its horrible. Its tall and uncomfortable. Even at 5'10" I cant just sit on the seat. I have to step up onto it. It has a "shock" on the post but even at 200 lbs, it doesnt really work. It compresses but doesnt spring back up and doesnt bounce. I highly doubt my mom will be able to get into the seat. So I am going to replace it with a wider, lower and more comfortable seat. Even if I was going to be using this bike for myself, Id still replace the seat. Keep in mind that the seat is in the way of removing the battery pack. This included seat pops forward and out of the way. Dont know if you could find I could find a better seat with this same function. It has a quick disconnect on the seat post, so guessing I will just have to remove the seat and post to get the battery pack out if needed. As for the electric ride function of the bike, its fast and powerful. I drove it on gravel, asphalt and thick tall grass. It has enough power and torque for all of it. Again, while doing the test ride I was thinking bout my mom. The speed control is lacking. There isnt a lot of veritable speed when you turn the nob. It goes from nothing to pretty quick. Not like spin the tires in gravel quick but for an elderly person, it could catch them a bit off guard. It has 3 modes but I didnt really notice a difference between the 3. Couldnt tell you which one has less torque. I didnt dig into the paperwork but there is no mention that I could see on the sales page to explain the level differences. Sadly, at no time did I notice a pairing of the pedal drive and the electric drive. But I only did maybe 1000 foot test ride. I kinda expected you to be able to "assist". But if you are not pedaling as fast as the electric motor is going, you are just spinning your feet. Again, this might be something one needs to learn when to help and when not to. The biggest draw back to the pedal drive is, no gears. Pedaling the bike takes some decent leg strength. I dont foresee my mama being able to pedal this bike at all with as old and weak as she is. But thats why it has electric drive.Overall I am seriously impressed with the build quality, materials and functionality of this bike. Keep in mind that most of my "issues" are based on the needs of an elderly mom. For any normal person, this bike should work amazing. I believe with a few changes to the seat, OH and I am going to buy larger pedals. The ones it comes with are kid sized. With these two changes I suspect my mom will be able to use the bike effectively.

I love this e-bike my husband bought for me as a birthday gift. It’s very nice riding with and without the motor assistance. The best size for a short person is the 20 inch. Such a rush when riding using the motor and the led screen is super easy to use. The bike folds up for easy carry in car or small spaces and it’s beautiful. Prefect for me. The assembly was very easy.

This Etrike has been a nightmare… my husband and I put it together which was not too bad to put together! The problem was it was very very hard to pedal then when you finely go it to pedal it would go very fast no in between. I contacted Bolo from whom I purchased it from to return it… they said I had to contact the seller. I could only reach them through email I explained that something was wrong with the bike. They would not send me a prepaid shipping label.. they wanted a video of how the bike road. I explained to them I don’t know how to send a video to them.. they sent me a unpaid shipping label… I called Bolo customer service they told me to to package it back in the box it came in ,said UPS would come to my house with a paid label and pick it up.. and I would get refunded for the Etrike I packed it up and waited no one came I called customer service back and they assured me UPS will come to my home and pick it up.. no one came I called Bolo back and was told someone gave me the wrong information (2)people lied to me from customer service.. that I would have to pay for the return and Bolo would refund my $253.72 back! I shipped it back waited for refund for bike and shipping never no refund I called Chase and had payment stopped for the Etrike ! I have called at least (4) times customer service tells me NO worries we take care of our customers. 9/4/25 I was told I would receive my refund for shipping by9/9/25. 9/12/25 still no refund. 9/12/25 call customer service again and I’m told we have to review your case.. I asked how many times do you have to review and why do I keep getting lied to by customer service, I have been told so many lies by customer service they don’t take care of their customers..The seller at QLife don’t take care of their customer either.. they would not listen to me that the Ebike has a defect.Bolo is a BILLION DOLLARS COMPANY AND TO CHEAP TO REFUND MY $253.72.I’m so dune with this..

    B.D. · August 24, 2025

This e-trike works well. I did use the assembly video as the paper instructions are not that clear in describing the steps. It has torque, but you get used to it. The size fits great, and the ride is smooth. It is fun and has a high-quality build. I have an issue with the left pedal not attaching, but this would be an easy fix by either buying new pedals or getting a new pedal stem/crank arm. I will reach out to the seller and see if I can get a replacement right pedal or stem. I enjoyed that the e-trike came with touch-up paint, as I can be a little rough when assembling products. The black color is great. All in all, I am happy with my purchase and will use the e-trike a lot.Edit: I reached out to the seller and they were helpful by sending another pedal. That one did fit and my e-trike is 100% complete.

4.0 out of 5 stars It is smaller, shorter in length, width than you think

    h.m. · September 23, 2025

its a nice LITTLE trike. I would not recommend to people over 5'6" (167cm). It was well packed to prevent damage.. Pretty easy to assemble. ExCEPT the instructions were not clear about the handlebar stem. It folds by releasing the spring loaded locking clasp about 2 inches from the end towards the frame. I only took it only a few short rides and its not very stable over 10mph/17km, it wobbles a bit. The seat rocks back and forth. It was however able to pull my 230lb/104kg frame up a 30° slope at about 3mph/5km. Good thing I bought it for my 5'4"/160cm 150lb/68kg wife though.
