The only issue I had with them was that they needed some soaking and rinsing before using, mostly because their natural form has a somewhat unpleasant (but harmless) odor.I was happy to find these, which come (almost) ready to go with no rinsing needed. Someone very clever has made konjac into a cup of noodles with no rinsing necessary -- only draining the noodles & add hot water -- and then ready to eat. Thank you, clever people!I got the variety pack because my husband likes spicy and I do not. The chicken flavor is not spicy but the spicy beef & curry flavors are not something my sensitive taste buds can tolerate. I really should have ordered the all-chicken flavor cups though, because I forgot that he's not a huge fan of konjac noodles' chewy consistency. He's used to the regular egg or flour noodles. He'll eat konjac, but they're not his first choice.I'm very happy with these, and by comparison they're not a bad value at just over $20 for a 6-pack when I ordered these. With 10 calories and zero net carbs, and for how quick and simple these cups are to prepare, I have no guilt whatsoever about them.I may end up using the spicy cups after all, but instead of using the spicy seasoning packet, I'll add my own ingredients. I'm sorry I didn't do this before reviewing it! I only just now thought of it. I have dried veggies and bouillon cubes, and also powdered pea protein (excellent stuff!) that I can add to the noodles.If you're not familiar with konjac noodles, I recommend doing a few minutes of research to learn about them like I did. I can say, this is the best setup yet that I've seen for these, and I do hope that these "k-cups" get so popular that the price will keep coming down.A very rare 5 stars from me! Believe me when I say, if I go above 4 stars on anything, it's because the item goes well above and beyond expectations. :)

As the title suggests, these konjac noodle cups are pretty tasty, but don't expect a ramen-like experience. The main difference is that konjac noodles come fully hydrated and packed in water. This makes preparation faster, but it also means that the noodles do not absorb flavorings much at all, especially compared with a dry noodle like most ramen kits.The noodles in these cups are shaped very similar to linguini. They actually don't have much flavor at all, nor do they have any real nutrients to speak of. If you are trying to restrict calorie intake, these could be just the ticket. But you will want to add some kind of protein if you are not looking to cut nutrient intake (canned tuna or chicken would be easy). I also found the flavor packet to be tasty but a little light on flavor. I added a small amount of soy sauce to punch up a bit.Each cup has but 10 calories in total, 0 grams of fat, 2 grams of carbs (all of which is fiber), and less than 1 g of protein. Sodium is a somewhat respectable 400mg (about 17% of daily value). A typical Nissan Cup Noodle, on the other hand has 300 calories, 6 grams of fat, 56 grams of carbs, and 1190 mg of sodium.

I was excited to try these, and glad I saw a variety pack. I'd never had konjac noodles before so I went in with a very open mind. The noodles themselves are interesting - almost no smell or taste themselves, the texture reminded me of eating squid. The cooking directions were really simple, and it was nice that they included a plastic fork with each cup (though I do feel like that's a waste of plastic, nearly everybody owns utensils). For how high the sodium content is, I expected much more actual flavor with the seasoning packets. The noodles themselves don't seem too absorb any flavoring, it all stays in the water, and even then the flavor is rather weak. For about $3.50 per cup, that's disappointing. It is nice being able to eat a cup of noodles knowing it's only ten calories, but I expect to actually have a decent taste when following the provided directions, not have to modify the directions to make them taste better.

I have tried konjac noodles before and they are hit and miss, but this is a hit. This is very similar to a typical ramen cup setup, but with konjac noodles instead. Konjac noodles won't be as tasty as ramen noodles usually (at least to me), as they are a little more chewy and slippery and have less taste, however, this comes very close and is pleasurable to eat.It can be heated in the paper cup, but I like to cook them in a pot and just heat up water, noodles, and included beef spice and vegetable mix. The noodles comes immersed in liquid, so that needs to be poured out and then the noodles can be added in. The Konjac noodles don't need to be cooked, they are just ready to eat so can just be heated to a warm temperature.Overall, the great thing about this is sometimes I will eat something and then I want something more but I don't want to overeat calories. Since this is only an absurdly low 10 calories, this is a good option as it fills me up with noodle soup guilt free and it is tasty so I like eating it, and it is very akin to the ramen experience to me. So I fulfill that I want something more to eat craving, without overeating calories, this is gold to me.
