Awesome book that has already been a great reference! It’s so easy to use in a pinch! I’m so excited to have such a great book in my arsenal to provide the best care to my patients! I recommend this to anyone who doesn’t have a photographic memory and can’t remember everything we need to know in the field!

Very thorough and insightful information. I am an ER nurse and paramedic and reference this book every shift to improve the care of my patients. Incredibly detailed and comprehensive information related to medications and their uses

Great book as a critical care refresher, have no real complaints other than this minor print glitch. Very much an easy read.

Look there is definitely some good information in this book. However, in less than 5 minutes of flipping through it’s easy to see that, while well intentioned, the authors may not be well informed.Here are just a few examples for anyone above entry-level nurses or paramedics looking for critical care transport resources.Pg. 20, Hyponatremia: “administer hypertonic saline if severe.” What is severe, how quickly should I give it, what kind should I give, and to what ends?I can feel the demyelination of my neurons from just reading this one.Pg. 36, Listed under indications for RSI: “GCS<8; loss of gag reflex.” Pardon me if you heard my eyes slam into the back of my skull.Pg. 70, PE 12-lead findings: S1Q3T3… and that’s it. Here’s a free one, the evidence shows that this approach is not sensitive nor specific to PE. One should look toward new onset Rbbb, right heart strain, and tachycardia.If the authors do take the time to read this, you should probably get your money back from whomever printed this for you. If you don’t believe me, flip to page 66 and tell me what you can read about metabolic acidosis.Consider the money I spent on this as a donation to your new-and-improved second edition. Get more granular, trim the fat, and focus on the things that professionals would want to have by their side as a reference.Also, add an index for cryin’ out loud, and cite your sources.
