5.0 out of 5 stars Large container with fine-ground Matcha powder, no lumps

Never had Matcha before, so have nothing to compare this large container of fine bright-green powder with. Yum. My husband still likes hot chocolate better, but this matcha will take the place of my morning coffee sometimes. No instructions on container, so my first cup was a "trial". I have a small milk steamer (I actually use non-fat half and half), with a scoop of matcha and a bit of stevia or raw sugar. Found a few lumps in the first cup that I gave my husband...he sort of eyed it strangely!. Found that while the milk was frothing/steaming, I put about a 1/8 cup of water in microwave to boil, then added the sugar, and matcha to dissolve. Then the frothy milk. The container is large and will last me quite a while and the price was best of all I looked at. Yes, it's not ceremonial matcha, but good nevertheless. Has a slight "grassy" taste, but I'm only maybe imagining using grass. If there's a scoop inside, I'm not digging it out - just used a long-handled ice tea spoon to stir. The quality of the powder in the container was not lumpy, just even powder. Dissolved easily in a bit of boiling water, but had a few lumps in my first "trial" cup that my husband got. I recommend and will buy more.
5.0 out of 5 stars Value for money
Good price for quantity. Culinary grade, perfect for daily lattes. Love this, will repurchase.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good matcha at good price
This matcha tastes very good, and it was the best price I could find on Bolo. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
4.0 out of 5 stars Dissolves well - but be prepared to deal with some clumps.
Dissolves mostly - but not all - still clumps. I mix it in room temperature water. most of it dissolves, but there are some clumps. if you catch them with a spoon, and then touch them with your finger, the clump collapses and reveals the powder, which will then dissolve. ... in other words, there is water surface tension around each clump. my instant coffee - same glass, I mix them both, does not clump. The tea is mixed in first, before the coffee. so, after i've spent some minutes breaking up the clump it is mixed very nicely. The 2 pound container is very plentiful. it is a great value for the money. [edit: it does seem to completely dissolve after about 10-15 minutes, with off and on stirring with a spoon, and eventually just letting time work. I sip my drink over an hour, so it works pretty well. I do believe I would order again].

3.0 out of 5 stars Subpar Matcha Powder
I have become quite the Matcha latte snob and sommelier (to my detriment). The kind that goes to a decent amount of coffee shops and is disappointed with the quality of the matcha latte that I ordered, because I think to myself “I could’ve made a better matcha at home.”I figured I would try this matcha powder because it was cheaper than the one I usually buy and I love NatureBell as a brand (I buy their supplements). I can confidently say I would not recommend this matcha powder.I make matcha lattes every single day for me and my wife, and I can confidently say this is not good matcha powder. The powder has this darker green color and more granule appearance. When using the mesh wire-strainer for the matcha powder it falls through uncharacteristically easy. It only lightly flavors with milk in the latte no matter how much powder that you use. Very disappointed and I will definitely not be buying this matcha powder again.
Where is the expiry date?
