I have two German Shepard dogs and a cat. This robot vacuum is hands down the best vacuum I’ve purchased for dog hair. You can look at my floors and it truly feels like I don’t have two long haired dogs that shed profusely. I run the vacuum everyday. The most I have to do is empty the tray and refill the mop solution daily. Literally takes 5 minutes out of my day and my floors look amazing. The mapping features are excellent and the ability to configure no-go zones makes it easy to avoid the vacuum getting jammed.If you don’t have shedding dogs you might not have to empty daily. I don’t have the self-emptying bin only because I wasn’t sure how successful it would be with emptying the long dog hair. When I empty the tray daily, it’s literally filled to the brim with hair. It just shows how much my dogs shed and how much work this robot truly does for me and my sanity because I am a clean freak. I love this vacuum. The app automatically lets you know when and what areas to service on the vacuum. Also replacement parts are easy to order and if there is a jam (I have kids who leave things everywhere) it’s super easy and user friendly to take apart and put back together. I’ve had to order new rollers because of my kids toys getting jammed and damaging the rubber in the rollers. But other than that I feel like the normal wear and tear is reasonable and the replacement parts decently priced. I’ve been using this vacuum daily for almost a year now and it is still running great. Keep up with minimal routine maintenance and this will be an investment to your daily cleaning routine.As for cleaning solution I use a self-diluted solution of Mr. Clean Multi-Surface Cleaner and it works great and hasn’t clogged the tubing at all. Highly recommend!

Ok - brief update 3 months now since the purchase: I love that vacuum! Now where I understand most of the app and the abilities of this robot (it took a while, seems I am not the sharpest blade in the cabinet) - I am so impressed.We use it right now at a house we will move into soon. We are already bringing boxes in, which are sitting on the floor and occasionally some furniture. So the obstacles are constantly changing. The robot is quite excellent in recognizing new items, large or small on its once programmed in map and navigating as much floor as possible while avoiding the new items.We also have a dog and sometimes already friends over with dogs. The vacuum gets most of the dog hair out of the carpets nicely (can't see much of it even when looking for it, lying on my belly on the floor). Sometimes I have to set it on the high suction setting and then it gets visibly (visible in the dust bin only) a lot more out.The mop function similarly - after we had guests I set it on the "high" water dispensing. Also nice - I can just set the rooms up with whatever they usually need, like the living room gets the high vacuum setting and the kitchen the high water mop setting. It automatically applies those.Oh - one more thing - since the documentation said one can not use any cleaning fluids but should only use water - I found the Roborock cleaning fluid which is labeled to work with all Roborock vacuums. And used it - hopefully this won't do any damage. But I do mix sessions with just water in (non chlorinated water, I'd think the regular chlorinated tap water might be more corrosive). So far so good.Overall - I don't want to live without this vacuum any more :-)***************************************************Update from the first review:Initially I was a bit miffed because the vacuum can only connect to a 2.4GHz router signal but not the 5GHz, or one of the new ones where the router selects this automatically. I had the latter and had to purchase a new router. Ok.Now the robot works and is very impressive. It took a while to figure the app out, some clicks are not as intuitive as one would hope and there are not easy written instructions (did not want to watch YouTube videos, who has the time for that?).Anyways - I got it after a few wrong attempts. The app has everything one needs and allows to remotely steer the robot to do the cleaning or let it clean on a schedule.Once can also set the strength of the vacuuming and amount of water used for mopping - it all works as advertised.It cleans very nicely and the room even looks clean afterwards. It self empties and also empties upon request in the app. It all works. Hopefully for a long time - I love the machine!

The media could not be loaded. This is my second Roborock vacuum product, and it's just as good as my first, but with quality of life improvements from new tech. Better mopping, better suction, quieter operation, better large dirt pickup, ai obstacle avoidance that largely works well it's only managed to tangle itself in charging cords once, and had successfully avoided shoes and cat puke), and improved mapping performance. There's a reason the Roborock vacuums so frequently win top honors in testing, they're very good at thier jobs. It's also worth noting that my S5 Max, which this S8 replaced, has clocked over 35 square kilometers of vacuum duty and continues to function as well as it ever did, just with moderately reduced battery performance. It's also worth noting that replacement parts and consumable supplies, including batteries, are readily available and reasonably priced. Had I decided to replace my old S5 Max's battery with a new, higher capacity unit, I could have done so easily. However, the S5 has moved to another floor of the house and the S8 now keeps the main floor cleaner than ever! I run a Sheep farm, own a parrot, two long hair cats and have mostly hardwood floors, so the mopping performance is especially appreciated! The ability to define which direction the floor boards run in the app is huge for ensuring no skips or wet spots. The vibratory mopping function is a noticeable improvement over just dragging a damp pad over the floor, and the double brush rollers pick up clumps of mud and catfood kibble that the S5 would sometimes leave behind. The S8 even has a larger dust bin than the S5! I live a dirty, busy life, but thanks to Roborock's excellent vacuums, you'd never know it based on my floors.

We used it 3 times. So far it did very good job in both, vacuuming and mobbing.Would be great if Roborock start to produce the vacuum/clean station for the S8 base model as an additional option in case customers want to add it later.

Eu tinha/tenho um S6 Pure que vou passar pra minha irmã (ainda está em ótimo estado apesar de já ser um senhor de 4 anos). Gosto muito da facilidade de mapeamento, do aplicativo (fácil de usar). Agora adquiri este modelo pra fazer um upgrade e até agora não tenho nada a reclamar. O poder de sucção é superior ao S6 e aos modelos Qx, o que pra mim já é o suficiente. Mas eu queria mesmo o QRevo (ou algum outro modelo com a Dock de esvaziamento), mas a RockDock só tem 110V (modelos americanos e japoneses aparentemente são 110V) e moro no interior onde é 220V (modelos europeus são 220V mas não vendem aqui). Bom se atentar a esse detalhe antes comprar. Uma pena não terem feito essa funcionalidade bivolt. Contudo, o modelo sem a RockDock é bivolt, então funcionou aqui em casa.

Es mi segundo equipo de la marca, compre un S7 hace 1 año aproximadamente y este nuevo es mucho mejor tiene mas potencia de aspirado, la mejoras es visible. Muy feliz con el equipo

Supero mi expectativas
Es mi primera vez con una aspiradora robot, y sin dudas superó mis expectativas, tengo un departamento chico (50m2 aprox) en el cual es un poco difícil maniobrar entre los muebles, sin embargo el Roborock hizo un mapa de mi departamento bastante preciso, y rodeo las sillas y muebles bastante bien, quitando el polvo debajo del sillón y sillas bastante bien, de igual forma detectó obstáculos, mascotas(evita molestarlas) y alfombras correctamente, solamente hubo una habitación donde no pudo evitar un cable de extensión y se enredó un poco, fuera de eso la navegación me sorprendió bastante, en cuanto al aspirado diría que un 95% de el polvo y partículas las logra limpiar, excepto por aquellas que estén muy cerca de obstáculos o lugares donde no pueda pasar.
