This product is great for kids who like or want to learn soccer. The goals are suitable for the age described however, they are a bit large for my two year old grandson.

The nets are easy to put together and are a great size for my 6 and 7 year old grandsons. I bought this set because it was foldable and supposed to fit in the carry bag. I have tried following the very limited directions (basically pictures only) and have been unable to fold it into the triangle shape that’s supposed to fit in the bag! It’s very disappointing because I wanted to keep it in my car to use when we go to the park! That’s why I only gave it 3 stars. The ball is also very small!UPDATE!After my review I was contacted by the company. They offered me a full refund. I told them the soccer set was very nice and if they could send a video of how to fold the soccer nets I wouldn’t need a refund. The sent the video and I was able to fold it! I appreciate their quick response and will not need a refund! Great Quality, Lightweight, Inexpensive and Versatile
This soccer goal with a removeable target is good value at $46 excluding any coupons, discounts or temporary price drops.It’s lightweight and will not rust because it’s made of fibreglass. It is surprisingly sturdy, though, and I believe that it will last for years. Just be careful with Velcro and burrs, though; that’s this goal’s Achilles’ heel. When these grabby items are removed from the mesh, the fibres will weaken.Once assembled for the first time, the goal packs down into its custom bag with just a twist. To set it up subsequent times, just remove the goal from the bag, undo the twist, and stake it down with the included anchor pins. Just like anything else you buy with poor assembly instructions, find a video of someone setting it up rather than struggling with those that came with the product. If you don’t use the net often, mark the corners that get twisted so you won’t have to figure it out again.The target, which is removable, adds some extra interest to the game. For example, you could make a game of taking turns to see who gets the most points after 5 kicks.You could also take the goal to a park that has a regular-sized soccer net and use this portable one as a second goal. If adults are playing against one or more children, the children could score by kicking the ball into the unattended regulation-size goal whereas the adults would have to get the ball into this smaller goal. If there is a great disparity in abilities, the target can be used on this goal and the adults would only score a goal if the ball goes though one or more pre-specified holes. You could even count a goal for the adults only if the ball goes through one of the specified holes but if the ball hits the goal elsewhere, that would count as one point for the kids.Some sellers offer this goal and target as part of a larger set that also includes a second goal, a nice size 3 soccer ball, and a pump. They are likely to cost $20-$25 more but overall it’s a better value.

Even greater difficulty could be created for the more skilled team by having only one of the openings count as enabling a goal and in addition, any time a ball goes into one of the other openings, it becomes a point for the less skilled team.These goals are designed for soccer but why not let younger kids make up their own games and ways to use this? Just divide up any number of kids or toddlers into two teams, put all the kids between the goals with a lot of balls of any kind, and tell the kids to get the balls into the nets with their teams.Take an old bedsheet or two, throw them over the goals. and make it into a shady place to play outside. Or have a water fight and let each team have a goal with a sheet draped over it for cover. Build a fort.

Perfect Set For Wherever There Is Limited Play Space
Having had the opportunity to play with a similar set of soccer nets that we previously ordered, our grandsons were so impressed that they wanted a set that they could have at home for themselves. Ever happy to oblige, I ordered this set for them.Similar to the instant pop-up tents that were so popular a few years ago, these nets employ the break apart poles so common in tents these days. Unlike tents, however, these nets don’t have to be disassembled once put together; they conveniently fold into flat, compact units which can be transported in the handy carrying bag provided. Putting them up or folding them down takes a matter of seconds. Small stakes are provided to hold the lightweight units in place so that they don’t flip over when someone runs into them or they are hit by a ball. They’re space efficient, highly portable, and a nice size for playing a game in the backyard or at the playground where space can be limited.Before they can be used, of course, the nets must be assembled. No tools are required but you will need a fair bit of space. Each of the nets requires two fibreglass poles to be inserted through fabric sleeves that run around their outside edges on three sides. Since each sleeve has two 90° bends, this can be a bit tricky; the poles will sometimes separate inside the fabric sleeves but can usually be put back together without removing them from where they are. After both poles are threaded into the sleeves, one side of the net is lifted so that it is sitting in its normal upright position. The 90° joints which joins the poles are then inserted into the two corner pieces (which are attached to each other with a piece of nylon strapping). I would recommend getting a bit of help with this as the poles must be bent slightly to be successfully inserted; this is not something that I would allow children to do on their own. Working alone, it took me roughly twenty minutes to set up both nets. The nets are now able to be folded (corner to corner, then folded in half) and inserted into the large zippered carrying bag included for transport.In addition to the nets, bag, and stakes, the set comes with ten orange safety cones which can be used for drills or for marking the field, a regulation size three soccer ball, a hand pump with a couple of ball needles, and one target cloth which can be attached to the outside edges of one of the nets. The hand pump isn’t large but worked well. Considering its weight, the ball is the maximum size that I would use with the set; for younger children I would likely use an even lighter ball.The lightweight construction of the nets can cause a few issues; contact with the ball or a player will usually cause it to bend out of shape. Don’t expect a ball to hit the goalpost and ricochet in, it will push the post out of the way and continue on its allotted path. While this can be frustrating, it also makes the nets very safe; colliding with them is unlikely to cause any injury.The target cloth that accompanies the set is excellent, allowing the net to be used for a wide variety of target activities. Our grandson has tried it with a sponge football and frisbees and is extremely excited about the prospect of using it to practice his baseball pitching. Of course, it has already received lots of use for ball hockey. The cloth attaches to the top of the net with clips and is held in place at the bottom by four stakes inserted into the ground; it is easy to attach and remove.This set is perfect for young soccer players; our grandchildren love being able to play in our backyard with a net which requires more precision than a regulation net. Unlike cheap nets with plastic frames, these can stand quite a bit of abuse and be none the worse for wear. The fact that they fold up so nicely and are extremely portable makes them perfect for taking with you on picnics or camping trips. Whether you use the ball that comes with the set or replace it will depend on the age and skill of the players. Given the quality of the components, particularly the scoring target and the nicely constructed regulation ball, I feel the set’s current price of $66 CAD is justified; this really is a well designed, quality set. Recommended.
