Our Golden Retriever is especially clingy and feels anxious when he sits in the back and keeps spinning around and pawing at the door when he can't see anyone.Everything changed when we bought this Dog Car Barrier with Interactive Window! This design with the window in the middle is so sweet, not only does it allow the dog to see me, but I can easily reach out and calm him. Even if I reach out and give him a little pat on the head while I'm in the car, he calms down immediately and pushes himself against the rail, which is really super cute! And this rail is so much sturdier than the lighter version I was using before, it's thicker wire mesh and very good quality. The two 79-inch elastic cords help hold me securely in the back seat of my SUV without wobbling from side to side or feeling any looseness.This Dog Car Barrier is especially good for families like ours who travel a lot with their dogs, have small children and value safety. The kids also say the dog is more relaxed, no longer barks constantly, and everyone on the trip enjoys the ride!

As a dog dad who regularly drives and camps, the back of my SUV is basically my dog's exclusive area. I've taken him through the woods, across state lines, and around the world no less than a few dozen times. I've always struggled with the fact that once my dog gets in the car, he starts barking and trying to squeeze into the front row, not because he's disobedient, but because he needs my company so much.It wasn't until I found this dog car barrier with a window for human interaction that I realised the problem was that we were ‘out of touch’!After installation, although the dog is in the back row, but it can see me through the grid, I can also drive while soothing it, even just eye contact, finger touch, it can obviously relax. And the size of this interactive window is designed just right, so it doesn't affect the function of the divider fence and allows for effective interaction. The elastic cord is strong and adjustable, and my car, an F-150 pickup, fits securely.The fence has allowed me and my dog to maintain an ‘emotional connection’ while travelling, and since then every long distance has been easier and more peaceful, and my dog has never made a fuss again. It's not an ordinary car accessory, but a bridge between people and their pets.

We have two dogs, one is active and loving, the other is an owner protector who barks, butts heads, and even tries to attack the other dog whenever I'm not in sight. Previously we had a fully enclosed Dog Car Barrier and the result was - daily fights in the back!We switched to this heavy duty Dog Car Barrier with the ‘interactive window’ and the situation improved immediately. I put the owner's dog by the window and he can see me clearly and even ‘interact’ with me with his nose through the barrier. I was also able to gently touch his nose or hand him a snack to calm him down during the drive. It was obvious that he was much more relaxed, less explosive and less hostile to the other dog.The fence is made of strong metal mesh, which is not as easy to bend as plastic mesh, and is stable enough for two medium-sized dogs to jump on. Moreover, the adjustment range is very wide, so we don't need to change the rails when we change the car. What I like most is the interactive window design in the middle of this Dog Barrier, it's so practical! I never thought such a small design could make such a big difference!

Overall this barrier is okay.The panels were mostly easy to put together though the circle connectors needed to be jiggled a little into alignment to be secured. You can somewhat adjust the layout of the panels to the shape of your car roof.The panel connects to your seat headrests with bungee cords so it does move a little. My dog is accepting of barriers and hasn't tried to push through so I don't know what another dog would do.
