…the folks at Yohcuro stepped up and the new Oximeter is working as it ought. I’ve got the batteries they sent in it rather than my rechargeables. I hope it won’t be a problem when I switch but I don’t expect it will be. The first unit I got was eating batteries right away. This new one is already much better. I’m not sure about the PI%. None of the oximeters I have agree but most of them are in a certain range. This one is generally outside that range but it’s not something we really concern ourselves with. I’m content but I’m sticking to four stars as it should have been right the first time. Thanks for making it so though. I really appreciate it!Then I wrote; Thank You!…I am pleased that the company reached out and will ship a replacement. They do believe I received a faulty or damaged oximeter. I very much appreciate the gesture and amend my review to four stars pending the outcome.Originally I Wrote; Eats Batteries Fast and……shows no more than 2 or 3 charge bars no matter how freshly charged the batteries are. I’ve bought many oximeters and this Yohcuro Fingertip Pulse Oximeter uses more batteries than all the rest combined.

This pulse oximeter is a dream to use; it gives you a reading in 5 seconds, and the results are clearly displayed on the screen, which makes the readings easy to understand.The screen can be viewed in 4 directions, which makes it perfect for if you are feeling unwell and you are lying down or on your side.I really like that it clearly displays the amount of battery remaining, which means that you get prior warning and don't have to worry about the pulse monitor suddenly running out of battery when you need it most.The pulse oximeter comes with a 12-month warranty, which is reassuring should you encounter any issues with your purchase.This pulse oximeter is on the higher price range; however, I think it is well worth the price of £16.99, as it's lightweight and compact without compromising the clear and easy-to-read acute results. I highly recommend everyone have these in your home, as you never know when you may need to monitor your heart rate and/or oxygen levels.Wee tip: I know it seems silly to use the lanyard, but it honestly helps with not losing the pulse oximeter and makes it easier to get out of your bag in a hurry. The lanyard also means that you can hang it up somewhere handy to make it easy to reach. I did find it a little difficult to get the loop of the lanyard through the hole; I ended up having to use a pin to guide it through.

Works as expected but is a bit chunky

This portable oxygen saturation probe is available in different colours, I picked pink and white for easy identification. Working in emergency health care, I’ve had several similar saturation probes over the years and always have a couple handy for general use.Many people have taken to using these at home for the monitoring and management of respiratory disorders, especially since the covid pandemic. They offer a useful baseline guide and should be used in conjunction with symptom monitoring.This oximeter unit (as most of the others I’ve had) runs on 2x AAA batteries, which are included in the pack. It also includes a small lanyard, but no protective carry case. The unit itself is quite chunky. The LED display is bright and easy to read, plus I do like that it can be rotated (at the press of the button) to be seen from different angles, especially useful if you’re using the oximeter on someone else.I found that the reading was accurate when compared to the readings on my smart watch. You should make sure that the finger you are using is warm and give the device a few seconds to settle down and record a reading. Overall, it appears to work as expected but is a little more expensive than others I’ve had, for the current price of £16 I’d expect it to come with a case.

The compact design is a standout feature - it easily fits into pockets or small bags and comes with a lanyard, making it perfect for on-the-go monitoring.With fast and high precision SPO2 measurements, it performs remarkably well. The single button operation is incredibly user friendly, allowing to take readings quickly and efficiently. The remaining battery display is a thoughtful addition, giving a clear indication of when it’s time to replace the batteries.The auto turnoff function is another commendable feature, helping to conserve battery life by powering down when no finger is detected. This ensures that the device is always ready for use when needed.I found this oximeter to be reliable and accurate during my tests. "Yohcuro" Digital Fingertip Oximeter

I got this to keep an eye on my oxygen saturation levels as I suffer from COPD and struggle with my breathing at times. I do have an SpO2 function on my smart watch but it takes ages to take a measurement and often doesn't take a reading at all, unless you remain completely still.This device is easy to use, it just clips onto your finger, you press the button on the front and within about 15 seconds, you get a digital readout of your oxygen saturation level and your pulse rate. The build quality is a bit "meh", it has an all plastic build with a glossy finish, and I don't think that pink would have been my first choice of colour, but it does have an OLED coloured screen which is easy to read, and comes with 2 AAA batteries which is nice to see. It is definitely a lot more reliable, and easier to use than the SpO2 function on my smart watch, but at £15.99 perhaps a bit on the pricey side.
