I upgraded it with an Anker 35W box for faster charging. (I believe the maximum speed for an iPhone 16 Pro Max is 25w so no need to get a faster box.)

Saw that this was on sale so I pulled the trigger and bought this thing. I plugged it into the supplied power brick with the supplied USB cable and walked away for a few hours.When I returned to put my iPhone and AirPods on it I found that the device was warm to the touch (underside, near where the cable connects to the device). Again, nothing had been attached to the device to charge prior to this discovery.I tried to contact Belkin via their 24/7 chat service, but discovered that 24/7 means 9am to 9pm EST.I called Belkin today, and one of the first things that I heard was a recorded voice telling me to go to their website to fill out an RMA if I have a defective device under warranty. That was weird, but I waited to talk with a representative.Long-story short, the gal on the other end asked me to rate the heat I noted above on a 1 to 10 scale. After some back and forth she indicated that if I thought the warmth was "normal" it shouldn't be a problem. She then explained that for safety I should unplug the device when it's not in use.This seems to defeat the purpose of the device (always available and easy to use).
