The Grim Reaper Costume in size 10Y - 13Y fits my 8 year old son well. The length is good as well. It isn’t too short or too long, which is the main concern I had with going up in size. I do think the 7Y - 10Y may have been a bit too short to look right, so I am glad I sized up.The material is fine, it’s the normal Halloween costume material. It will be good if this Halloween is colder and he will have to layer up underneath.The costume came with everything needed to complete his costume (minus the 2 AA batteries needed for the glasses).The hood does have the face completely covered in material, it may get hot in there, we’ll see, but it should be fine.The glasses with the red lights actually look really cool under the hood. I haven’t seen anyother Grim Reaper costumes that include the red eye glasses, it’s different and my son loves that part of the costume. There is a convenient pocket on the inside of the robe that holds the battery pack to the glasses, such a great idea.I am very pleased with this costume and my son is definitely looking forward to wearing it for Halloween Trick Or Treat.

This kit has everything needed for a complete grim reaper costume. We got this for our nine year old.It's not overly complicated. The costume takes less than a minute for them to change into.The scythe is a lightweight hollow plastic that is easy to assemble. It's not so heavy that they will get tired of carrying it around. And it can be taken apart and fit into a parent's backpack if they decide to.We did not opt to use the red light glasses. The veil is thick and easy to see out of, but not easy to see in to.The material is nice and soft. It's not scratchy at all. Depending on the weather, they can wear shorts and a t-shirt underneath if it's warm.

My son is 12 years old (will be 13 in mid November) and 5 foot tall. He's of average weight and his size is boys 14/16. I ordered the 10-13 year-old size, but I don't think this size really works for a child on the higher end of the age range. The sleeves are a little short, as you can see in the pic. The glasses fit under the mask, and the battery pack is suitable to be put in the pants pocket. You will need 2AA batteries for the glowing eyes. The eyes light up for a few seconds, then flash off, then back on. I was confused at first because I thought something happened and they stopped working, but then they lit back up again. I checked the settings to see if there was a setting to keep the eyes lit up constantly, but there's not. The settings are either off or flashing. The scythe is in 4 pieces and assembles by screwing the parts into one another, which is nice for storage. All in all, an acceptable costume for my son for Halloween, even if I wished it were a tad bigger. It's only for one night.

I got this for my 11 year old, so i got it in size 10-12 years. This fits him fine. The eyes are what i was most interested in, as that is what sets this apart from other reaper costumes. They sit a little funny on his face, but they work. And thats what matters

It's exactly as expected for a Halloween costume. I thought the quality of fabric was pretty high for a costume, actually. It came with a great scythe prop. I'll be using it for a "scarecrow" / decoration dressed on a skeleton, but it would be great as a wearable costume too.

If you've got a little one like I do who wants to be the grim reaper for halloween, this is a great option. Fits well, drapes well, and has great accessories. None of it seems exceptionally durable or high quality, but obviously it's a costume so it's costume quality.One of the best parts is that you can definitely wear something underneath this which we end up having to because we're in the Midwest and Halloween can bring snow or 75° in the sun. It's always nice to have a costume that can have layers underneath it if it needs to.

The sizing on this was a little confusing. It said Kids 10-13, which I assume means kids large. Anyway I got it for a 12 year old, and both the length and the sleeves are too short.It says the Kids 10-13 is for children between 140-155 centimeters (155 cm = 5 ft 1 inch). However, our 12 year old is slightly under 5 feet, and it's too short for him. I would suggest sizing up if you're not sure.The scythe looks cool, but it's a thin plastic. The face covering is really good, stretchy, fits on adult or children. The glowing glasses are to be worn under the face cover - they run on 2 AAA batteries, not included.The gloves are also a good size, fairly universal, but they're short and only go to the wrist. So you may need something to cover your forearms. One thing that works great is just cut the toes off an old pair of black socks, and wear on your arms.You'll want tallish dark socks and dark shoes to complete the effect (not included).Also keep in mind, this is an all black costume, so be careful if trick-or-treating at night.

Every year we decorate for Halloween and skeletons is our main theme. THis year we wanted to up our game. This costume is going to be for our skeletons. The costume itself is very durable. The material feels pretty heavy. The creapy red eyes work well and I bet will look creepy as all get out. I am not sure if I am going to try to put the gloves on, but either way it will look cool. The scythe has to be put together but is easy to do so. I like that it comes apart for storage.
