Considering that it is offered at half the price of the original head, this minor inconvenience may be considered acceptable.

Tried this replacement head for my Braun immediately after receiving it. This head was absolutely a piece of crap. Very poorly made and it didn't cut my beard well at all. Immediately put it back in the box and sent it back and bought an authentic Braun head. Learned my lesson.

This substitute parts had been “ok” for most of the time but sometimes the shaving was not smooth making me uncomfortable.At the time when I placed the order,I didn’t realize it was a substitute.In future,when I have to replace,I will buy the genuine parts to ensure smooth and comfortable shaving at all times

Note: I've tried the regular and pro versions of this head, and I experienced better results with the pro... Though that may have been a fluke. The materials, build, and packaging are essentially identical.Compared to genuine Braun heads, there are big differences. Th foils don't go all the way to the ends, so you can cut yourself if you drag the wrong way. The underside is much different, and after opening one up I noticed that the foils are only lightly held down by 4 tiny plastic tabs which will fail over time. If you push down on the foil with any force while shaving, expect a failure far sooner than 18 months.Performance-wise, these heads are fine, but do not cut as well. You will need extra time and shaving passes to get the same results as the genuine blades. And unlike the genuine Braun blades, these generics will sometimes grab hairs if you go against the grain... And it will be much worse if you have more than 2-3 days of stubble. So always cut with the grain with these.Aside from the cutting issues above, these aren't bad if you get them for under half the genuine cost. I would recommend having some of both genuine/generic, and save the genuine heads for when you need the fastest, cleanest shave. For any other day, use the generics. Try for yourself--but if you get less than 9 months of us before experiencing a critical failure, you're not getting your money's worth.

Right out of the package the replacement head felt cheap and I wasn't wrong. I ended up using my old head that was long over due for replacement in order to get a close shave.

Though this replacement head comes at a higher price for being a non-Braun brand, I was impressed by how well it worked. I didn't experience any hair pulling or discomfort, which has been an issue with other substitutes. The fit was perfect on my Series 9 shaver, and it performed just as smoothly as the original Braun head. While the long-term sharpness is still to be determined, it's off to a great start, and I didn’t notice a difference in the shave quality compared to the original. So far, it's proving to be a solid and cost-effective alternative.
