5.0 out of 5 stars Ultimea Poseidon D50 - Great Sound and Value

The system has enough power to fill the room with immersive audio, very clear highs and lows that are punchy and don't just sound muddy. Multiple preset EQ's and the ability to manually set your own preferred EQ is nice. The build quality and ease of setup is adequate, the satellite speakers connect to the subwoofer with long cables using an RCA type for a secure and reliable connection, which then connect wireless to the soundbar. The remote is not as nice quality and does feel cheap, however it serves it's purpose and has all the controls you'd need at hand, and if you don't wanna use it you can always download the app and have your phone be the remote.Overall, Ultimea provides a good system for the price point that performs well in a bedroom setting no matter the kind of entertainment you're looking to enjoy. Even with the 5.1 being virtual it has very clear and detailed sound, with plenty of power for its size and form factor.
5.0 out of 5 stars Quick and Easy Setup
Quickly set this up. A few details that I was unable to find in the listing, that may be helpful.- The subwoofer is wireless and the satellite speakers are hard wired into the remote subwoofer. So adding this in worked for us as the sub is across the room next to the couch and the audio connection for the satellite speakers runs behind the couch to each side.- This does work on the Roku box. We hav a "smart" tv but really enjoy using the Roku and have the external box. Just put the sound bar into Bluetooth mode and connect to the Roku via Add Device, Headphones. The remote allows for a ton of adjustments to tailor your audio along with 6 preset modes. Overall, pretty good for the price. Setup was extremely quick, and the audio works exactly as expected. The satellite speakers do not have a nice looking mount, so we opted to just place them on the end tables. They are small enough that they dont stick out like a sore thumb.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good for the price… better than my $300 Sony soundbar
So first of all, this is not 5.1 surround. It’s not surround at all, it’s just stereo that happens to have five speakers. So some false advertising there that Bolo should really correct sooner rather than later, but who actually thinks they’ll get a surround system for $100 these days? It blasted my $300 Sony sound bar out of the water, so there’s that. For the price this is pretty damn good. My only real complaint is that set up is unnecessarily annoying. For instance, you *have* to use the remote to pair the subwoofer and “surround” speakers to the soundbar, there is no pairing button on the soundbar itself (and there is no way to hard wire them so this has to be done to get more than just the soundbar working) and this does not come with the batteries required for the remote. So there is some sloppiness like that but, again, for the price it’s not too unreasonable to have to deal with stuff like that.
5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Sound!
This is a great soundbar for the price. The setup was very easy and took only a few minutes. Once setup, I was able to download the phone app and then sync up for the new firmware software to be installed on the soundbar. This took only a few minutes and then it was ready. The sound quality is amazing for the cost. So far, I am very impressed and would highly recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome sound quality for the price!
I still can't believe the sound quality from this system. I read the reviews prior to buying it but I was still amazed by how well it performs for the price. I had never heard of Ultimea before but I'm pretty sure I just became a fan for life. As long as the quality of their products stays high, I'll keep buying their stuff.
1.0 out of 5 stars For the product to work as advertised!
This is a rip off! I am disabled and my new caregiver brought it to my attention. She said I shouldn't have to have volume past 40 or so. Since I wear hearing aids, I couldn't tell the difference in the one in bed rm., which is one I bought from y'all previously.
5.0 out of 5 stars sound quality, ease of use, smart phone compatibility, price
I wasn't expecting much from this system, but maaaaaaannnnnnn I was blown away and I have no problem admitting that. I've been using Bolo for over 10 years and this is the 2nd review I've ever left. The sound is amazing! You can control the system from your phone, the set up was very very easy. I'm an "old head" so I come from an old school set up but I'm super impressed with this system and you will be too!
3.0 out of 5 stars Poseidon D50, It's meh..
I bought the Nova S50 a while back. It's also in the picture. Although that's Dolby Atmos, the effect isn't really there. But this review is for the Poseidon D50, also in the picture.I label it "meh". Be aware, It isn't true surround sound. Sure, the sound bar probably has 3 speakers in it and there are 2 other speakers to put in the back and has a sub box. So technically, it has 5.1 sound. But it's just stereo sound with sound coming out the back speakers that are just extra left and right duplicating the front left and right. Not true 5.1 surround sound. The button on the remote, that they says you can adjust surround, simply turns the back speaker volumes up and down. The bass is the same bass you'll get with the Nova S50. I can tell no difference between the Poseidon D50's, supposed, 300 watt sound and the Nova S50's supposed 190 watt sound, aside from having 2 back speakers, which the Nova S50 does not.I also made the mistake of getting the Poseidon D50, thinking it would have Dolby Atmos as well. That's on me. But it doesn't have any Dolby period. Nothing is supported period when it comes to true surround sound.I didn't give it a 1 star though. I gave it a 3 star. I wouldn't say don't buy it, just don't buy it thinking this a 300 watt true surround sound system. For the price, it's good for a bedroom, maybe a small living room to upgrade sound from your TV's speakers. Really any TV speakers actually, unless you have a TV with built in surround sound, that would be gone with these speakers.
