It is made from a very sturdy plastic (that feels like a melamine) with a hard finish that resembles glass. It has 4 mixing areas: 2 smaller areas surrounded by the wells in the left wing, 1 large lift-out pan that stores in the right wing, and 1 large full wing area on the right. It closes via a snap bar on the front. I have larger plastic palettes for mixing washes, but this one I am using for metallic watercolors. The size is convenient and it washes up with ease. I got the pink metallic palette, and if I have any complaint, it's that the pink metallic sparkle is quite toned down and I would prefer more sparkle. I can easily recommend this pallette as it is a convenient watercolor workhorse that is reasonably priced.

Love this pallet!. Water tight, plenty of slots. Pretty blue and white color. Reasonably priced. holds 18 paints. doublearea for mixing on the bottom, extra pallet in the lid. Love the size. It is smaller but great when you want to take it to class. I will buy another.

Very nice. Watery paint does not leak. Lots of place to mix pain on the extra tray. Size is good for 18 paint colors. I love the color. It is exactly what I expected. Some paints stain the plastic when left in the well, but I continue to use it for the same color so it doesn't matter to me

Love the portability and lightweight quality. Easy to clean n there’s an extra removable pan for mixing paints. Love this portable palette. It goes with me to my painting class and lavender color is very soothing to look at

This is the third palette of this particular type I’ve purchased- one was a gift to a friend who had borrower mine and loved it. I bought this one for guoache. My other one is for regular watercolors. This is light weight and travels well. The paint wells take even the biggest brushes and there is mixing space galore! I have many paint palettes (go figure) and I love certain ones for particular reasons or circumstances, but this is one of my very top picks.

This thing is great. I use it for gouache on the go. It’s much better than other portable pallets I’ve tried. Easy to clean since the wells aren’t deep/ square, which I’ve found makes cleaning out old paint a chore with other pallets. Keeps my tube gouache fresh for a couple days.

It closes well and stays closed. The areas for paints are fair sized and the two mixing areas are good. One of them is removable for cleaning. I would buy this again.
