Review:
5.0 out of 5 stars Balanced Hydration
I’ve been using this sebum control hydra gel for a while now, and overall it’s been a helpful addition to my skincare routine. The lightweight gel texture absorbs quickly without leaving any sticky or heavy residue, which is a pleasant surprise for something aimed at oily skin. My face feels hydrated yet fresh, and it keeps shine at bay for much of the day.The gel seems to strike a good balance between calming oil and maintaining moisture. My skin looks smoother and less irritated, and the clarity of its texture makes it easy to apply. That said, the oil control effect can vary depending on my skin’s condition—on extra humid days my forehead still betrays a bit of shine by mid-afternoon. It’s not a deal-breaker, just a minor quirk to watch for.All in all, it’s a solid and gentle hydrating product that packs subtle shine control and makes my skin feel comfortable without weighing it down.
4.0 out of 5 stars Decent. What I expected.
It does work, but it’s not mind blowing. I’m currently using this product mixed with my tinted moisturizer for makeup application. My face still gets oily, but not as bad. I’ve also tried a face powder called Zero Sebum. Sold on Bolo for less than ten dollars. I like that powder but it does create a white cast on the face, but if you can figure out a way around that, then go for it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Kind of like a makeup primer
What an usual product. I was intrigued to try this out since it moisturizes but also helps control sebum. In the summer heat, it's hard not to appear like your sebum is out of control, so this was hard to pass up.This was very easy to use - the pump worked great, and the gel just glided on easily. It seemed to give my skin an almost matte appearance in the way some makeup primers do. My skin looked less shiny but stayed moisturized, which is what I was hoping for. With my usual skin cleanser, I felt this was easy to wash off. This is a small bottle. The price is reasonable, but I feel like this may be a product you might want to use just on your problem areas instead of on your entire face. I recommend washing your face and moisturizing it as usual, but only using a small amount of this to dull the known shiny areas of your face to soften your appearance and give it a more finished look in the same way you might use primer. I wish this product came with more directions, but it seemed to do what it basically says.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very good!
This Sebum Control Hydra Gel is something I've been using since the day I got it. I've found it to be highly effective in controlling the oil on my face during these hot humid days that we've been having. By mid day I'd usually have a shine on my face and would need to blot my face to help control it. At work sometimes it's hard to find the time to do even that so it's been very nice to not have to worry about it as much. It leaves my skin feeling soft but not sticky and well hydrated. I'm very particular about what I put on my face ensuring that it won't irritate my skin and that it'll work well with my makeup. This hydra gel has worked out for me with this so far! I love how it applies to the skin because it has a great consistency that's not too thick or too thin. It really has no scent which I really like. Some may say it's a small bottle (I provided a picture with it in hand just to show exactly how big it is) for the price but despite how small it might be a little goes a long way so it should still last for awhile. I really enjoy using this product very much not only for the feel of it but for its effectiveness.
3.0 out of 5 stars Tiny
Product is tiny for almost 10 dollars regardless of how well it might work I just don't think it's worth it.
4.0 out of 5 stars A Refreshing and Effective Facial Cleanser with Natural Ingredients
My wife has always been mindful about the skincare products she uses, especially when it comes to finding something that is both gentle and effective. Recently, she started using this facial cleanser that combines mineral clay, pineapple and sweet orange extracts, and a vitamin C boost, and it quickly became a favorite in her daily routine. The key feature that drew her in was the mineral clay, known for its ability to absorb excess oil and impurities. She noticed that after using this cleanser, her skin felt deeply cleansed without that tight, dry sensation some clay products can leave behind. It’s a refreshing feeling—like the pores were unclogged but her skin remained soft and balanced. This makes it easy for her to use every day without worrying about over-drying or irritation.Adding to the cleansing effect are natural exfoliators like pineapple and sweet orange extracts. These ingredients help gently slough off dead skin cells, promoting a brighter and more even complexion. Over time, she observed a reduction in dark spots and pigmentation, which had been a concern for her. The exfoliation is mild enough not to cause redness or sensitivity, which was important since she prefers a skincare routine that feels soothing rather than harsh. The vitamin C component adds an extra layer of benefit, supporting skin repair and enhancing brightness. She often mentions how her skin looks more radiant and even-toned since she began using this cleanser regularly. The vitamin C also helps with the overall texture, making her skin feel smoother and healthier.Another aspect she appreciates is that the formula is dermatologically tested and non-toxic. It’s free from harsh chemicals and artificial fragrances, which suits her preference for natural and skin-friendly ingredients. This gives her confidence that she can maintain her skincare routine daily without worrying about irritation or adverse reactions. The texture of the cleanser itself is pleasant—it lathers nicely and rinses clean without leaving any residue. She likes how it feels lightweight and not heavy or greasy on her skin. It’s straightforward to use, and the scent is subtle and fresh, which adds to the overall enjoyable experience.Packaging is simple and functional. The size fits well in the shower or on the bathroom counter, and the dispenser allows for easy control of the amount used. It’s a product that fits seamlessly into her existing routine without any hassle. In her daily skincare regimen, this cleanser pairs well with her other products, preparing her skin effectively for moisturizers and serums. She finds that it creates a good base for the next steps, helping those products absorb better and work more efficiently.Overall, this facial cleanser offers a balanced combination of deep cleansing, gentle exfoliation, and skin brightening with natural ingredients. It aligns well with her preference for products that are both effective and kind to the skin. While it may not promise dramatic overnight results, it consistently supports healthier, clearer skin with regular use. For anyone looking for a reliable daily cleanser that refreshes and renews without harshness, this is a solid option worth considering.
A Good Value Targeted Product.
As a mature adult, the days of a shiny skin should be long behind me, but although vastly improved, it's never that matte I always wanted. I still get a slightly shiny forehead and nose and I've tried all sorts of oil-control type moisturisers 'for Men' with variable-to-no success. The notion of adding moisture when I'm looking for 'drier' always seemed odd to me. Here were have a product for Sebum Control which seems to be just right.I'm not familiar with the ingredients but Farnesol 'helps to control and balance sebum production by regulating the activity of oil-producing glands in the skin'.Farnesyl Acetate 'helps rebalance the skin's lipid metabolism, leading to a significant and sustained reduction in sebum secretion.'Those two alone sound fine and it's worth going down the ingredients list to get the complete picture.Nicely presented in its green scheme, the neat 80x30mm plastic container is a rather unusual 17 grams, or 0.6 ounces and has a pump dispenser with a 2mm or so hole. The slightest press dispenses an off-white, slightly viscous gel, which spreads very easily and doesn't take long to disappear into the skin. Experimenting with half my forehead, I can see an improvement after just a few days, though it's not going to be any permanent fix, but as long as it works as I need it too, it's well worth the £5.98.
Good for my oily face
Very good hydra gel.feels light, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t feel heavy even in the humidity. Over time, I noticed my skin looking brighter, more even, and refreshed
