The media could not be loaded. I had my steel toe boots for as long as I can remember, but they were starting to kill my feet after yard work. It was time for me to look for some new boots and I found these on Bolo. I was already impressed with the box that it came in, but after trying them on I was hooked. The material is a soft leather, not too soft, but it conformed my foot without any issues. I love how versatile they look as a cross between a rugged hiking boot, military, or construction boot. My feet are usually pretty sore in boots, but these were so comfortable I probably could’ve worn these all day.

Recommend, purchased for sonʻs weekend warrior civil air patrol drill. Sizing is spot on, quality made and especially likes side zipper feature. Boots not too heavy the only concern expressed is must wear high socks to prevent irritation to skin due to high top rubbing against unprotected skin.

Comfortable, easy to take on and off once I learned that the tongue can easily be pulled forward to accommodate a foot sliding in and out. Probably wouldn’t wear them in really bad weather but perfect for a night of goth clubbing.

Tired another pair of boots from this brand first boots lasted 10 months with no tearing just got loose after long time use durable and comfortable.
Big improvement compared to the other Trooper model.

The regular version has over 20k reviews and is being heavily promoted by Bolo as opposed to this one. But I can assure you, this one is superior, especially in terms of comfort.I found the other model to be extremely uncomfortable, the shank was just under the insole, you could feel it under your heel and touch it and move it with your hand. The outsole is not as aggressive and there is no suede strip on the side near the ankle.This model, the “trooper pro” as indicated on the size label inside the tongue has a totally different construction, you don’t feel nor see the shank anymore. Instead the footbed is flat and the insole is different, better I would say. Comfort is night and day compared to the other one.The outsole feels grippier, softer material. Probably better on wet surface, not yet tested. The treads are much more aggressive and bigger. An improvement in my book.The suede and material seem identical, zippers relatively solid but not very smooth, they seem to catch here and there. The boots have a couple of imperfect stitches and some marks on the suede but nothing worth sending back.As for the size, I played safe and ordered a 12 regular width. I did order a size 11 in the other model but it was a little too short.I would have prefer a 11.5 but half sizes are not offered past size 10 and it’s a bummer. The boots feel a bit too long and wide so I tried them with double socks as I intend to wear them in the winter and it’s a good fit this way.Overall, very comfortable boots (Trooper Pro) as opposed to the regular (Trooper) A bit bulky, fine for walking but not quite sure for driving. We’ll see. Same thing for durability, only time will tell.
