I did not buy this to be my main laptop. This is what I use for work - create spreadsheets, Word docs, internet access, music, create and cast simple presentations. For these tasks this has been the perfect tool. The build quality is great - the keyboard feels very good. The camera quality has been great for video calls.The one knock, as has been said in other reviews, is the screen. It is not amazing but it's clear and it works for what I use this for. If this was my only computer and I wanted to watch movies on it often it would be a let down. For streaming a game or video while at work - it's perfect.Overall, for the price this has been an amazing machine for my purposes. It's a very capable machine but if it got smashed in my shop I won't cry about it.

So far the Chromebook was easy to setup and has been good for taking notes (easier than typing on a phone). Used Google Sheets for a budget while on a teen council. The battery life seems good. The size and screen quality are good. Dad liokes the value for the money.

I’ve had this for a couple of months. I don’t use it everyday, maybe once a week. But so far, it works exactly as expected. I just needed something cheap that didn’t need to be charged constantly. I’ve only charged this once when I first got it and it’s still holding 30%. It’s great for what I needed it for.

Perfect Christmas gift for my 9 year old son. He uses it for school work and internet surfing. Nice color and quality. It isn’t fast enough for his gaming needs but he uses a separate monitor and Sony PlayStation for that. Best part is that his having his own laptop keeps him off my MacBook!

For the money, it's a great little computer. CAVEAT! Do not install Firefox on this computer, it bogged down the machine to the point I almost returned it. It causes boot up to take nearly 2 minutes. I removed Firefox and using Chrome, it's plenty fast for what I do with it.

For the non-touch-screen version, the awful display ruins usability. Poor viewing angles, poor color accuracy, and jagged text at all resolution settings. Black/dark colors appear different on the top and bottom of the screen, particularly annoying when using chrome in dark mode. Solid design, keyboard, and excellent battery life, but other chromebook manufacturers provide massively better displays in this price range, making this one to avoid.

Permanent blue line on screen even after a power wash reset.
The Chromebook has a persistent blue line on the right side of the screen that remains even after a powerwash reset. Despite my efforts, I cannot remove it. I recently purchased this device and am disappointed, as I prefer Chromebooks over Windows for their lightweight design and smooth performance, even with only 4GB of RAM. I’d love to keep using this device, but the permanent blue line is a significant issue.
