So I returned these do to wanting a different color but I did get the same exact shoe. I purchased these for our hike through the narrows from top to bottom which ended up being 26 miles and these shoes held up amazing! They were very comfortable and super lightweight. The hike was through water for the majority of the hike along with lots of rocks and the grip on the bottom was just perfect.I love that the toe area is wider which helped with wearing a thicker neoprene/wool sock.I didn’t have issues with the tip of the toe hitting rocks a lot but just know the toe area of the shoe is not hard by any means. You will feel it if you hit a big rock like we were hiking through.I will just be rebuying these shoes when I need a new pair. Seriously loved everything about them!

These shoes are amazing, I am not a runner but used the shoes to hike. I have wide feed and was looking for a shoe with a lot of toes room and these shoes were just perfect and a game changer. My biggest issue is toe pain when I wear shoes for an extended period of time and I had none in these shoes, even after hiking 8 miles per day and wearing them all day. They also are not bulky and look great and the grip was great as well! We just did moderate hikes and these shoes worked great!

I work in health care. You learn fast you have to take care of your feet. Altra zero drop shoes are the best I have found. Offers some cushion and support. Super good soles that keep you from slipping on wet surfaces. And the rip stop material is somewhat water resistant and easy to clean. These are my go to work and play shoes. And the colors are great. Get compliments on these every time I wear them. Comfortable right out of the box. I wear a 7 in most shoes and the 7 in these is perfect. They do have a wider toe box than some of the other altras but I love them. May be uncomfortable if you have a really narrow foot, mine is average.

Best running shoes I have ever purchased. The wide toe box is fantastic. I literally can wear these all day long and my feet and toes never hurt. I was impressed that I didn’t have to break them in. Comfortable from the first wear. True to size.

These shoes have saved my feet. I wear them as my everyday shoe. The wide toe box helps my toes spread naturally and prevent damage to my feet. They fit tru to size. They have great traction and grip, I don’t slide on slick or wet surfaces. I would buy these again.

I would like to preface this with saying I do not write reviews pretty much ever..I am a long time purchaser of Altra shoes. These lone peak 9 are beyond disappointing. They have little to no cushioning and are very cheaply made. The only silver lining is I got them on sale for $110 instead of $140.

Can't understand how I wore other tennis shoes with pointed toe after wearing these.Size 9. Enough cushion and support for my flat feet right out of the box. My right foot is slightly larger than left foot (longer and wider), so the right shoe is a LITTLE narrow in the heel and side of inner heel.My right leg is my resting leg, and the slight arch of the shoe pushes on inner right heel. That can feel a little tired/uncomfy if standing still for hours, but as soon as I'm waking or moving in them, there is no pain for fatigue. A nice spring in the step.I've not had ANY residual pain the next day even if the heel gets a little uncomfy the day before. I think over time, it will break in more, but the spot on heel happens to fall right on seam of the shoe where the insole kinda arches up.Either way, no complaint. I really enjoy wearing these shoes. I feel like I stand up straighter in them!

I ordered a size 6 and a half, and they are true to size. They are comfortable to wear all day, and the toe box allows the toes to spread, so there's no pinching of the toes. Overall, stylish and value for money.
